I just got a star. I posted my 100th and then I got this cool little star above my icon-thingy....Now if I could only figure out what the number inside of it means....I wonder if any mylotter know the answer to this question? What's the number for? Thank you, Flash2

HI Flash! It's your ratings. The number inside your star is your ratings. The more + you get, the higher your number gets. It also coincides with the color of the star. Like for mine, it's a blue star with 10. Others have red star with 9 on it. Others have a yellow star and so on and so forth. Happy myLotting!

Hello Flash, Number of posts is nothing to do with the star its is quality of responses which make your star fluctuate.So better focus on quality rather than quantity.

Yes, I understand, My comment was When I have as many posts as you I hope that my experience shows in the high number in my star. I HOPE to get that good!

Hey, you do! I haven't noticed it before. As you can see, I'm way back from my 100 mark. Maybe the number means the friends you've got? Your referrals? Your discussions? Your likability score? Aw, now I'm curious too! Someone come up with an answer!

the number inside of it is your rating. if you read the FAQ's it says about it.. it's a score out of 10.. it refers to your performance kind of thing.. like how good you post.. how detailed your discussions are, how consistant you are with your dicussions, if you respond to all your comments [you need to respond to all your comments people leave under your discussions to reach your maximum earning potential] and how well you interact with others, ie comment on other peoples discussions, and then comment back to their comments to you.. etc etc etc :) plus it's prettyful :) lol!

Well if that's the case, then I'd better start doing a better job at doing the things that those people want us to do, so that in by doing them I might increase my score and thereby increase the amount of earnings that I accrue. How's that one 4 U???

Wah., Congratulations..!!! I don't know anything about Stars. I just read the discussion. But it shows only some 60 or 65 as the number of discussions answered. May be it is the total of discussions started and answered, Right ?

that is correct, the number of total post is next to your username, the star means you've gone over 100, and the number in the star is how myLot rate you for your abilities as a poster...

Hello shskumbla, Don't be upset you will automatically get it against your name once you will reach (100) post. Your number increases when you respond to a discussion once.

Wow! flash mate you started with me I guess..and now I can see you are way ahead..You going fast and so well.I am sure soon we are going to see red star or the star with highest ratings.I am a snail ha ha well keep taking part in discussions.Now I have understood the star rating system by reading your post.I don't need to start a new post to understand all this.so ..many thanks. Well do you have any idea when we will be able to copy and paste our content?I know the site doesn't allow it to maintain the quality of the forum posts.But at times I get disconnect or any other kind of error I have to face and I lose my text that I type.I can recover that with 'back' button but I cant copy and paste again when network gets better.

thats a very pretty purple star you have there. and though the number in it has meaning, it is, at another level, a bit judgmental (sorry mylot), and shouldn't be taken too seriously. i'm getting scared myself, i think i might get so scared that i might never post again once i get to 99. i don't know if i can handle that sort of judgment.

i think the points structure has an inbuilt bias that favours us women...........
