I found it so funny the other day how the term role-playing game is RPG and in call of duty they have a secondary weapon called an RPG as well that is short for rocket propelled gernade. Is it a coincidence that both these are shortened as RPG?

no coincidence what so ever
RPG the role-playing game and RPG the rocket propelled grenade both may share the same acronym
and the term RPG has been used since the world war
