Why do fewer and fewer cars has a sunroof? Almost any older car has a sunroof, but rarely do I see the new cars have one. Is it perhaps that more and more cars have air conditioning?

It will be up to the widespread use of air conditioners. A sunroof can drag and pretty loud. For allergy sufferers there is no alternative to an air conditioner. In addition, it will be as under a tin roof sky disguised under a cover glass sunroof, despite getting hotter. Vehicles with sunroof can be worse than selling cars with air conditioning.

It is because they eventually leak. They break easily. It is easy to break into the car this way. They are not efficient up north. I think they just did not sell as well as cars without them after the novelty wore off. There are still a few models that still have them though.
