Whoa!! i just had a haircut.. and it was not an ordinary one... i meant.. it has been 2 years that i was sporting a long hair... uhuh... yup long hair and its already the same length reaching me waist... and just today i decided i want a hair cut!!! haha
wooohh i was soo nervous when the lady began cutting my hair... it wasnt an ordinary trim. nope.. it isnt... i had my hair cut up to the length just 2 inch below my ear!!
such courage the stylist told me.. i even saw how much hair i lost.. i guess about 8 inches!!! i had it so short!! but i liked my new hairstyle.. its the new me.. not afraid and all willing to take the risk.
so what about you? how long was it since you had a hair cut? hmm.. how long was your hair when you decided to cut it so short people won't recognized you nymore when you have your back turned against them?? =)

since I was a kid my hair is always long, but I do trim every six months so the end is always healthy, I don't know but I'm afraid to cut it short, maybe because I like it long like this, but I hope someday like you I'll find the courage to cut it short too... but I'm just glad you like your new hair:)

I cut my hair whenever we have the money. Lately, it seems like I get my hair cut every two years or so which is hard because my hair gets split ends pretty fast. My last haircut was in January and because of all my split end I had quite a bit taken off. My hair had been to the middle of the back and it was cut to my hair line. I really hated it that short. I am glad that you like your new style.

I got my last hair cut only last May. Like you, I had a real long hair before it. The stylist asked me a few times how long did I want to cut from my hair. He thought I was just confused when I kept telling him that I wanted it just below my ears. He even cut my hair by layer and after he cut a layer, he would ask me again where I want to stop. 
That was the time I was feeling a bit depressed over everything and my hair wasn't any consolation. I had frizzy hair and it easily tangles although I liked it when I tie it up high. But I made a choice. I wanted to have something new in my life. Although I had sported a very short hair even long before. I wanted something new and I wanted attention. And that I did with my new hair do. ^^ Well, now, my hair is already shoulder length but I'm still enjoying the shortness of it.

oh wow!! yeah, i guess that is what my main reason is, too.. i have been experiencing falling hair, and also everytime i brush my hair i can hear the brittleness already.
=) i guess i like the length right now, it sure is great! haha wash and wear!! =)

Me, too! I have falling hair. That's why it's really good to have short hair. Less falling hair. And you're right, it's basically wash and wear!

I can see that ladies do not usually have a hair cut as men. I have my hair cut every month. Last month, I had my hair cut on the seventh. I will wait for about another two weeks or so before I have another haircut. Each time when I have a haircut, I always tell my barber to cut it short so that it can take a longer time for my hair to grow long enough for another haircut. hehe. Have a good day.

i had my last haircut 9 months ago i'm trying to let my hair grow till it reaches my neck or shoulders a different stile then i use to have them really short like 0.5 cm long (i don't know the size in English measure ) butt i'm still saving to get a tail ;) i can bind them now but it's not long only 4 cm long tail at the moment they stop growning fast if they are long, and if they are cut they grown like hell :p

I got my haircut back in February. It had been down the middle of my back and when I had it cut into a bob cut. I am trying to get it to grow long again. I should have waited until the summer to get it cut because our winters are so cold and with me having less hair I was cold.
I am glad that you love your new do and am glad that you like taking risks. I am not sure if I would ever cut my hair that short. I like longer hair. I cut my hair every two years and get ot trimmed every four months (if I can afford it).

Wow! at least you love your new hair and you never regret about it. right? Good for you since you have a long time to have a long hair. Hmm You have your new you now. LOL Me? Since high school I have my hair long but when I enter college I decided to cut my hair and my hair cut is like a bob cut and I just maintained it since I feel really beautiful about it. ha ha 
Every 3 months I have a trim to maintain the style of my hair.

Hi chiyosan, surely you will feel very much different after having a short hair style that is totally free from the hair covering your neck and back part and it's quite to take care of course
I dislike visiting the hair salon often as I hate to spend considerable time waiting for my turn to be served 
I always wait until I find inconvenient to take care of my hair too long hair I then are willing to pull my legs to the nearby salon to get it cut to the length that I desire

I am glad that your risk went well:) It's not easy to cut so much hair for a girl. I will have my haircut once almost every month. Now my hair length is similar with yours. Actually I hope to prolong it:) So every time I just tell the hair dresser to cut a little bit of my hair to make it looks tidy.

i got my last hair cut last week which was my birthday. before my hair was it, my hair was about butt long. but after my hair was it was now under my bra line. i'm contented with my hair cut because my head now feels lightly than before and easier to comb

It's amazingly long before the trim. Trim is supposed be short only but well, at least another look. New look :-)
I had my hair cut 8 months ago. But oly 2 inches was taken since it's not that long anyway. Just about 5 inches below the shoulder level.

Wow, I would feel it as a lost if I were you. 2 years of having long hair and all of a sudden it went short. 
I had my hair cut last 3 months ago, and it was long back then for I always wanted to have a long hair (i don't look good with a short hair, that's why)! Now, it even looks longer because I had it straight. I am planning to get a haircut this month when I have time to go to a salon because it's starting to have split ends already.

My last hair cut was probably 4-6 months ago. I've been trying to grow it long since my last two hair cuts. My second last one I had probably almost a year ago, it's also 2 inches down my ears. It was a change and I didn't hate it but I got over it so quick and just missed my long hair like crazy. It's now 4-5 inches past my shoulders and I wish it was longer! A LOT LONGER!

The last time I got my hair cut was a few weeks ago. Like you, my hair had also been down to my waist. But with the job I have it isn't very practical to have hair that long, so I decided to get it cut. However, it still reaches the middle of my back.
By the way, I've never gotten it cut so short people wouldn't be able to recognize me from the back. I'm much too chicken to do something like that! LOL

A couple of years ago, I was in the same position as you. I was tight on money, so I cut (no pun intended 
) getting my hair cut out of my budget. I have thick hair and it got really long after two years. Finally I got a part-time job at a hair salon as a receptionist, and received FREE haircuts, so I got my hair CHOPPED! Some days I do miss my long hair, but I LOVE my haircut now and get lots of compliments on it. It must be the right style for my kind of hair and face shape. I'm not a huge fan of change, but sometimes it just needs to be done and hopefully it will be the best of what you expected.

It has been about 2 years since I had a haircut. Last time I had it cut I donated it to charity. The stylist who cut my hair couldn't believe what great shape it was in and how fast my hair grows. She really encouraged me to continue donating it. It is getting long enough to donate again so a haircut may be in my near future.
I am a little curious and confused by your post however. You had it cut to 2" below your ears, it was down to your waist before the haircut, but only 8" was cut off? That math seems a little off to me. My hair is only to the middle of my back and I have just enough to donate (9"). Anyway, congratulations on your new haircut. Enjoy!

i have a long hair too and its been a year since i have a hair cut. i love my long hair but i think its now boring. im planing to have a hair cut. but i i dont know where. i want it short but i dont think it looks good on me. i wish i have the courage like yours to have a new image. or meet a great stylist to give me an awesome haircut.
