Puppy love at 7!

I started a discussion before about my son having a crush and he wanted to keep it a secret and shared it only with his dad.
Well lately he has been open about it to me and would tell me about the girl named Joey. They both go to the same school and they're both in second grade but she's from another section so they're not classmates. But my son finds her so pretty and she lives in our village too.
Today Joey's younger sister told him that Joey's got a crush on him! My son tried to control his smile and that was what the nanny told us. He was glad that his father didn't come to pick him up at school so he could take a public transport with Joey.
My son is experiencing puppy love for the first time.

my nephew, whos 8.. has a "girlfriend" called Charlie.. and he loves her so much haha they hold hands in the playground haha!!

Yeah so cute but i was actually hesitant at first to post this discussion because the last time i talked about my son having a crush, there was this member here who said, my son should concentrate more on his studies and playing rather than have crushes at such a tender age!
That really shocked me and i wonder is that person living in this century? It's as if i was a bad parent for allowing my son to have crushes!

thats the most riduculous thing i have ever heard, because no offense to that moron, but whether your son studies every day til 5, and plays everyday til 10, it won't make a difference, he will STILL have crushes, because he has free will and free thought.. its not like you can force him not to feel.. that would be more wrong than "allowing" it!!

I remember my first crush! HAHAHA! It was when I was in 2nd grade.. Its too funny and sounds so silly. Oh well, the guy I have a crush on have crush on me too that time! :)
How time flies... Now he have a girlfriend and me, 2 years single already but happy and contented! :)
