Hi! So I am wondering what to do about how I have been feeling. Wondering if I need to see a Dr. for a prescription or try a more natural approach. I am feeling very anxious and overwhelmed. I feel like if one more thing (can be a really small thing at that) happens to me that I will go crazy. I know we all have problems and issues and for the most part I think I take it in stride but lately it just all seems too much. Here is a background on what has been going on in my life - 7 years ago my son (at the age of 15) was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, & exercise induced Asthma and he also has seasonal allergies. 4 years ago when my daughter was 13 she was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and then 6 months later when the gluten free diet was not totally helping her we found out that she had Crohns disease. Last September she became severly anemic and was hospitalized and received blood transfusions. 3 years ago I broke my arm bad enough to need surgery to have a plate and screws put in. A year later my father suffered from an aneurysm and almost died. Was in ICU for over 40 days and then in hospital and nursing home for another few months. This past December my son had surgery to remove his colon (was in the hospital 11 days) and 4 days before we were to leave for his surgery I fell down some steps at work and broke both of my wrists, my thumb, & my elbow. Also broke my glasses and cut my face and bruised my nose. I looked like I was beaten up!! I had to have surgery to have pins put in my wrists and had a cast up to my shoulder on the one arm and the other arm up to my elbow. It was very hard to do things with those casts on!! In April my husband had to have 6 teeth and a tumor in his jaw cut out. He still can not eat really hard food for 9 months or he could break his jaw. Now this July my son had another surgery to remove the ostomy bag and so he is still recovering and is not working yet. Currently daughter undergoes expensive treatments every 6 weeks at the hospital. Now To top things off we are now having trouble getting her enrolled in college. And lastly I have health issues - I broke a tooth and have several other teeth that are bad so I need to see the dentist and my elbow did not heal properly after this last fall so on September 1st I will be seeing a specialist to see if I need further surgery on it. I also need to look for another part time job but hesitate to do so because of the need for further surgery on my elbow. But with all these medical issues we really need more money. At least the elbow surgery would be covered by workmans comp. So anyway I just really feel like something is going to put me over the edge. Today getting a phone call saying we owed the college $4,000 before daughter can go to school (we thought she had student loans but she didn't) just really got to me. Daughter needs to see her Dr. this week because she has had something other issues and I was wondering if I should see this Dr. too. Maybe she can give me something for the anxiety. I just feel like a rubberband that is being stretched and stretched and stretched some more. I try doing natural things like drinking chamomile tea, taking walks, warm baths, etc. but it doesn't always help. So should I see a Dr.???? Thanks :D!

I would go and see a doctor and be open with the doctor too. They may want to put you on something like lexapro (which helps for panic and anx very very well) temporarily and something like ativan or clonazapan. They help tremoundsly. Please get checked out you will feel so much better if you do. It like having someone tell you are not crazy..I know the feeling.
