Feeling betrayed

Studnet ;ife has its fl;ares but it also has its disappiontments. Me an dmy colleagues came home for vacation with the knowledge that the next semestre began on the 22nd, then they found out that the date was moved up for whatever reason and it would start on the 17th instead.One in particular, who I thought we were very close went and booked his ticket to go up a week early while kept telling me that they wasnt sure when they were going up yet- knowing that if anyone of us was late enough we could lose our subjects. THe very next day another collegue called me to tell me that its the 17th school starts and my other friend was leaving a few days from now. I felt really betrayed.I still do.And I'm wondering as a student in university do I have more of these betrayals to look forward too? I'm all about helping people- hence why I'm a nurse and becoming a doctor, and it really hurts when I am betrayed. How did anyone here deal with betrayal while studying
