There is no way to keep your contacts private? That stinks, and I will definitely not add FB to my cell, if I ever get one..lol

Hi, jazzyrae. Yes, I have heard about this. I think that this is uncalled for. Why would Facebook allow others to see our personal information that is in our phone? This is not anyone else business but only ours. I believe, I would do everything in my power to keep others from snooping into my personal life, which involves the use of my phone contacts.

as per comment above, I believe this is not true. Only those who have put their numbers on facebook will be visible to public. But, it can only happen if you opted to choose your settings to be public. You can, however, manage your settings so only friends can see it. That is why I never reveal my personal information. I don't put my address and contact number. If they really want to know my contact number, they can direct message me anyway.

At first, I can't tell whether it is true story or just a rumor. So I was googling that and found the fact that it is a true story o.O I think it is a warn for people for not using "Facebook Contact Sync" on their phone. As long as they aren't activating that feature, I think everything should be going well as usual. Anyway, A Facebook spokesperson delivered the following official statement to www.bgr.com: "Rumors claiming that your phone contacts are visible t everyone on Facebook are false. Our Contact list, formerly called Phonebook, has existed for a long time. The phone numbers listed there were either added directly to Facebook and shared with you by your friends, or you have previously synced your phone contacts with Facebook. Just like on your phone, only you can see these numbers." So what do you think? In my opinion, I prefer not to give any valuable information to Facebook. Maybe they are not publishing it to everyone, but I am just scared that they store my data on their server o.O
