Faisal Akbar always remember his visiting during a study visit to India. For members of the House from Party of Hanura, India should become an example to Indonesian officials about the simplicity of life. Akbar Faizal with the House Commission II on 1-7 May 2011 was to India. Comparative studies, among others, to see the implementation of electronic identity cards in the country of 1.3 billion people are. But in addition to e-ID card, it also made politicians Hanura embarrassed when it turned out to Indian officials to accept full of simplicity, different from our officials. Officials in the country Shakh rukhan was from the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to minister to look earthy. Indian officials get only facilities authorized automobile brand Tata Ambassador. White sedan which is equivalent to the sedan in the 1980's price was only about USD 100 million. Compare with Toyota Crown Royal Salon for USD 1.3 billion given to the ministers of United Indonesia Cabinet II. "In India all use it, including members of the House let alone level officials at the Director General (DG)," Said Akbar Faizal Akbar was even more surprised when he met Manmohan Singh at his office. When it comes, the politicians Senayan was wearing a suit. But not warning the ministers to the Prime Minister who met them was wearing only simple traditional dress typical of India and sandals. . The PM was wearing a very simple and traditional, such as gloves and leather sandals. "We got embarrassed," recalls Akbar Found the simplicity of it, Akbar Faizal had asked whether the officials in the Indian poor. But the PM said officials in India many of the rich. "He (Manmohan Singh) said, you are wrong, we have minister who became the owner of King Fisher airline. We're rich, there is also the corruption, but we want how we become role models for the people, "said Akbar. Of course the simplicity of Indian officials was inversely related to the lives of most state officials in Indonesia which is too fancy and get a lot of facilities. How to make the lives of state leaders in this country can live simply? Akbar suggested the Indonesian authorities would follow the example of officials in India. The officials must first provide good examples and models about the simple life. Political Corruption Division Coordinator of Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) Ade Irawan asks state officials more sensitive to the suffering of the people. Salaries, it is proper when salaries of civil servants at lower levels increased. But officials have rejected a pay rise above it is also true for them because it would further burden the country that still has a foreign debt of Rp 164.4 trillion. Besides salaries of state officials also do not have to go up because of performance and integrity of their generally poor. Strangely in this country who happen otherwise, officials not only calm to receive huge salaries and lavish facilities also pay into the 13th, even they also use its authority to enrich themselves. "Many of them (state officials, politicians) who insists on using its authority to request or obtain additional income and facilities of public money, but continued to steal money from the activities and projects for development and service to the people," said Ade. Long-term solution, should improve the mechanism of recruitment of state officials and politicians. Including funding mechanisms and governance of political parties. "If it remains like this where collusive relationship and the money power, state officials and police that we can lower the quality of that think only about themselves than the people's interests," said Ade. Ade also suggested that re-done data collection needs and the number of civil servants. Then after that do redefine again about his job description. "Just come to ministries or agencies in the area during working hours. Many are just talk , play chess. Not being lazy, because all work has been taken over by the consultant. Consultant-paid consultants who are friends he's the boss, "he explained. what do you think guys??
