If we have not expressed our gratitude to others for their service, how can we expect our children to show their gratitude to us?

Right right?!. I mean if we don't voice it or show it they will never learn it in the first place. I have seen time and again parents who think they are "entitled" to what they get and services that are preformed for us and they forget they have children who are learning. I mean we can not give them the stupid addage; "do as I say, not as I do" NOw how on earth can they follow that addage and wisdom when the parents are always doing something or lack ther of in this case and expect our children to become responsible participants in society when they have such bad examples. One can not expect the school system to teach them the values of life; that is the job for parents.
