Top 10 Reasons Why There Couldn’t Be a Filipino-American US President

I am fond of watching David Letterman and his Top 10 List. A lot of Filipinos are popular in the US and thus David Letterman made a top 10 list about Filipinos. I find the list very funny, none in the list offensive. Kababayans, what can you say about the list? Here it is.. 10. The White House is not big enough for in-laws and extended relatives. ... 9. There are not enough parking spaces at the White House for 2 Honda Civics, 2 Toyota Land Cruisers, 3 Toyota Corollas, a Mercedes Benz, a BMW , and an MPV (My Pinoy Van). 8. Dignitaries generally are intimidated by eating with their fingers at State dinners. 7. There are too many dining rooms in the White House – where will they put the picture of the Last Supper? 6. The White House walls are not big enough to hold a pair of giant wooden spoon and fork. 5. Secret Service staff won’t respond to “psst… psst” or “hoy.hoyhoy!” 4. Secret Service staff will not be comfortable driving the presidential car with a Holy Rosary hanging on the rear view mirror, or the statue of the Santo Nino on the dashboard. 3. No budget allocation to purchase a Karaoke music-machine for every room in the White House. 2. State dinners do not allow “Take Home”. AND THE NUMBER 1 REASON WHY THERE COULDN’T BE A FILIPINO-AMERICAN U.S. PRESIDENT IS… 1. Air Force One does not allow overweight Balikbayan boxes!

LOL. I'm sure nobody would want a Fil-Am president for the US soon. I didn't fully understand number 9 but otherwise most items were funny. I especially like the State Dinners do not allow "Take Home". But I'm glad there are a number of Filipinos who are popular in the US. It just shows how hard working and how determined we can be.

I do believe that number 9 is just normal because they do have fancy for cars and thre's actually a parking space for other people's car but you really can't park that within the premises of the capitol hill. besides, i don't see it impossible, we have a US General there who is a Fil-am, some navy officers in the fleet are Filipino-Americans , I am not sure if he is still in the Position. the governor of Hawaii is also Filipino but didn't learn english and only knows mabuhay

The number 9 reason above was just a show of how corrupt the Filipino politicians are. They can have a s many cars as they want even if the country/region/place they should be serving are facing financial problems. This list is funny but a bit true. LOL!

That is extremely funny and true. I agree with you, I also don't find it offensive. My favorite is the Secret Service staff won’t respond to “psst… psst” or “hoy.hoyhoy!”. That is really true, only in the Philippines. Nice post, I was laughing for a moment there.

Hello Bubbletush, Nope this was just an opinion that if David Letterman made a joke about it in the show, but the thing is he never did. I have seen this in my moms email that had been circulating over the past few years and i thought this was really mentioned in his shows but clearly it was not. I believe it doesn't matter as long as He's an American. Though, I strongly doubt they will a Allow a MUsLim follower to be a President, that had been one of the major criticism to Obama's family heritage. Have a nice day

This made me laugh. Really portrays some of our quirks without being rude. That’s saying something regarding American stand-up comedians since they do butcher and humiliate their own politicians, even their own president. I’m gonna really pat the writer who made this in the back. Hope that we will be hearing some of this kind in the future.
