I think its one of my favorite fish and I like it grilled with some tomatoes and onion inside it. I like the belly part of the fish especially milk fish and salmon. But I haven't try grilled salmon.

Hi angelbelle578, when at sight at the words milk fish I thought it's recipe for fish baked in milk After finish reading the whole thing I then come to know it's name for fish. I finally come to know that it's a kind of big fish available in the fish market here as well after I do online surfing. We call it ShiMu fish in Chinese. Grilled fish is always tastier than steamed fish in the way of preparing if compared to steamed fish. My husband and his elder sister prefer to eat healthier and she is the chef of our family as well therefore most of the dishes are prepared by steaming. therefore I never let go the chance and would like to order grilled salmon when I eat out Happy posting!

We call it here "bangus". When I first hear the word milk fish I also thought it was made of milk. That time I didn't know that it's the english for bangus.

I haven't try blue marlin. We only buy local fish here. But I heard it's good too.

I like grilled fish no matter it is salmon or mackerel or catfish. They are really finger licking good and very tasty too.

Milk fish tastes great when grilled, the only thing it has lots of bones so you can have it deboned when available. Since you like grilling it with tomatoes and onions, try wrapping it in aluminum foil so it would cook in it's own juice plus your condiments and prevent the skin from turning to charcoal before it cooks, better still is to wrap it in banana leaves because it leaves a distinct flavor, the best milk fish in our country is "Dagupan" (from Panggasinan province, Philippines) Salmon and fishes from the tuna family is also delicious to grill like as mentioned, blue marlin, yellow fin or if you are saving "tambakol" would be fine but just check it is fresh, they taste great with lemon butter sauce

I like salmon and I've tasted grill salmon and I really enjoyed it. However I don't know anything about milk fish and how to cook it but I'm open on every possibility and I like experiment with cooking.

I love grilled milk fish especially the one with a filling, I think we call that Relleno. I love grilled fish during the cold weather. I also love my moms grilled milkfish recipe where she put onion, tomatoes and cheese as a filling. OH you made me miss milk fish...

I also like Relleno but some people put ginger in relleno. I don't like ginger. I haven't try to put cheese on grilled milk fish. Maybe I'll try it some time.
