We know that accidents can happen anytime . However, if we do some ways to be able to prevent them, they could be avoided. Like when I walk down the street, I place my bag in my side, out of reach of the motorcycles and other vehicles where it could be grabbed. I would also glance every now and then, as to who is behind my back . These are to be able to see if there will be a snatcher or a thief , behind me. At home, before we go out of the house, we would unplug all appliances and check the house if the windows and doors are securely closed. Then , we would ensure that the dogs are all around the house to guard it. There are a lot of measures actually, it’s up to us to implement them . What’s yours?

Don't wear excessive jewelries when taking a public transport. That's a no-no for me, because you'll never be sure that there's no bad elements lurking around this days specially in our country's current situation...Bad elements can attack anytime they like, even in broad daylight

Oh yes, whengcat, i do that too. At night, as i am about to ride home, i would take out my accessories and put them in my bag. Those thieves might let me swallow them, if they will know that they are just fakes. It's better to be safe than sorry!

Better safe than sorry. I am one of those careless people who never cared about my personal belongings but believe me i have never had incident of losing anything, being robbed or stolen. I guess because i believe more in the positive things that no bad thing can ever happen to me. I'm just a bit cautious when taking public transport which i hardly ever do. But i never checked my surroundings for any superstitious character. But i agree that we need to be cautious in everything and take care of our personal things if we don't want any bad things to happen.

That's nice to hear about you Toni! I can really surmise from discussions that you have a strong personality and have a positive outlook in life. Stay that way . As one saying goes , "prevention is better than cure", we should also be like that when it comes to avoiding accidents.
