Still to verify if this article from Associated Press is reliable but I believe it will be a grave concern for many people in the States. From a special task force assembled by Gen. David Petraeus which began its investigation last year, the coalition had little visibility into the connections many Afghan companies and their vast network of subcontractors had with insurgents and criminals — groups military officials call "malign actors." I wonder if the Obama administration will be taking another beating as what is believed to be a part of the Obama administration's strategy to award U.S.-financed contracts to Afghan businesses to help improve quality of life and stoke the country's economy - actually became monies financing the killing of coalition troops. This is really sad, even if it (U$360 million) is just a fraction of the $31 billion in active U.S. contracts that the task force reviewed - considering the valuable lives and resources lost. Resources which otherwise would have better use back home under these challenging times and ailing economy. How did this happened? Why did it take them 10 years to actually conclude and arrive with these findings? Read more: http://news.yahoo.com/360m-lost-insurgents-criminals-afghanistan-150450640.html
