why the girls get more marks then boys / myLot

I came to know that and as i am a teacher in a school that mostly the girls get more marks in exams then boys.Although in routine work the boys seems more intelligent in understanding different concepts especially of Math, Chemistry and other science subjects.The girls seems to be memorize rather then understanding the concept clearly but in the end the girls get high ranks. could you please help me to sort out the solution of my thinking as the annual results are announced here in Pakistan of High class students and the toppers are the girls here.

I had read before that girls had a bigger brain than boys that is why their are lots of women who are more intelligent than a man.I think the girls take their studies seriously compared to the guys.

At a certain age, girls study more than boys. Although boys might be as intelligent as girls, girls of the same age are more mature and so are more serious in their endevours. Ranks also depend on how the tests are done. In multiple choice tests, memorizing is as important as understanding. But if a test means you have to explain something, then memorizing is not enough.
