Hello everyone. On my PC is an older operating system installed (Windows ME) - but that should not really be the cause of the problem. Once the computer is booted up, I open Firefox and go to the Internet - as usual. After a short time, however, depends on the Firefox apparently, because it appears above Error message and the message "The server at www.blablabla.com takes too long to send a reply.". The given "tips" do not help: The website is temporarily unavailable NOT, is specific network (the modem / router everything is fine), because of my mail program I can send and retrieve e-mails and respect firewall or proxy-protection ... Firefox can access the Internet, before and now! The whole thing happens suddenly and can usually fix just by rebooting the PC. Anyone any idea? I know this is "difficult from a distance", but maybe know someone advice

With whom do you go to the Internet? Are you sure that the connection is reliable? I had time for two days this week, problems with T-Online. Then followed the "forced separation" part every two minutes. They have apologized to "construction and extension of the server pool." I would look at problems in the Internet connection is not the first "guilt" with me or on my computer, because what happened yesterday is today usually still, but only one call to the provider. How do you say to your old operating system and on Firefox it does not lie. An acquaintance of mine with Firefox, Windows 98 and no problems at Telekom. I called the first, as it did not work for me, because I could explain with FF and XP, not quite. So it was quite easy on the line.

even if you do not want to hear: Me is the worst OS that was ever on the market. Do you regularly emptying your browser cache, because if the PC through too many pages in memory must be, he is happy at times and travels up the hooves.

For ME, there are no updates and patches, so you should absolutely update your operating system! You write that you have clearly not a router, but it sounds at least Sun Disable your personal firewall because the router does not adequately protect you against attacks. Exactly the behavior you described I have witnessed a few weeks ago on another computer, and only fix by uninstalling Zone Alarm!

Certain issues may be regarded to your problem. It can be an ISP (internet service provider)issue. Sometimes your ISP are working on managing your network and their will be a time that browsing to a specific website is impossible unless they have finished with the optimization of their service. A virus or malware infetion may also mess up your browser. Have you tried installing or utilizing a different browser aside from firefox? Is your security suite recently updated? Have you scanned your PC for malware of viral infection? Recent configurations and software installations on your PC may also be the culprit. Try uninstalling "newly" installed programs that might affect your browser. These are possible causes to your problem. You may need to probe some more to define the real cause.
