hi, everyone, give me your view about this,, technology moves very great.no one can't deny it... lets turn back time for a while.. I remember when I was kid, cell phone was not as popular as now.I had my first cell phone when I was junior high school, but now... pre- school kid have a phone! when I was kid, I just play petak umpet or people call it as hide and seek, jump rope, doll, etc. but now, they are seems to lost.traditional game was replaced by technology, play station, internet, facebook, computer and tablet.kids enjoy playing game in front of computer and spend their day all along.they don't know what hide and seek game and think it's very not modern.sometime I miss traditional game very much when people start to leave it.traditional game is kind of culture for me, people should be not leave it...

These are sad days in that regard. Not only is just artificial computer games, but kids are expected to grow up insanely early too. Another myLotter mentioned who she had seen a ten year old in a grown woman's clothes and make up on a magazine color. Childhood these days is just a phrase to get through - the sooner you mature and the sooner you get brave the cooler you are. I think it is ridiculous to give a three year old a tablet or a cell phone. Kids should learn about responsibility before getting such expensive rewards. But what do I know? I suppose that is the easiest way to keep kids occupied. I miss those traditional games to. Computer games can be fun (yes I'm guilty) but not when it gets to the point where a kid only goes outside to buy their next video game. It really is a poor substitute for playing physically active games with good friends. Computer games can teach a kid technological skills (paramount in modern society) but so much is lost if tech games are exclusive to a child's play time. I'm getting all depressed just thinking about it.

hi, awinds that's the real fact now... technology make everything seems to be faster than it should be.kids and everyone have to moving fast too, and missing what's through in their life when they pass it slowly.when they grow up they may realize they don't have enough time to make their childhood worthy by enjoying socialize with friends and having time together with family. I confess technology is very important nowdays, kid don't have to buy book for their school, everything is instantly available on internet.technology make this world better, but sadly people forget that keep culture and tradition is very important too

I agree - tech has made our modern lifestyles possible. I am glad I don't have to worry about smallpox. However as you said, I think we are letting tech take over and forgetting what makes us humans and not just robots ourselves.

Traditional games for me help kids socially. Of course the internet allows them to have friends and communicate but still being with other people physically is way different. Also these kind of games teach kids about sportsmanship. I'm glad traditional games are being included nowadays in grade schools' physical education classes. Things have really change. There are lots of kids who spend time in front of the computer, psp, wii, xbox, tablet, etc. not only because of technology but also because their parents will not allow them to go out a lot since the world is not as safe as it used to be.

ahay... I forget that kids can have traditional games at school but still in my view, it's very different with they playing outside with their close friend and have fun with unlimited time they have.it teach them about responsibilty and friendship.it's a great memorize to grow up with many kind of tradtional games... how about you? parent should not be afraid to ask their kids to play ground as long as they watch the kids and take car them about right or wrong to do.parent is the leader of their kids

We have to move as technology moves. what we had as technology years ago has quickly been surpassed. Some of the more traditional games are fun to play just as they were invented. New technology and graphics just have a way to getting the game to a bigger level. it doesn't mean that its more fun. it's just different.

of course both is very different, but the power of technology take traditional games as the second best now, and most of kids leave it because think it's not interisting and complicated.what's your opinion?

This is true my friend as I was never allowed to use the house phone, let alone own a cell phone. I understand today some younger kids need them for emergency purposes by for gaming on them seems a bit too extreme to me especially the high tech ones. I am one of those that play outdoor games and also assured that my kids did too. There are some that solely play with computer and or technology now and I feel some of them are missing out on direct peer socializing. I do know some kids that look at me odd when I mention things like tag you are it and or jump ropes. This is sad as it also gave them more exercising too.

hi, hardworkinggurl and gavrilovich... it's seems like everything's change now.traditional game lover is decrease time by time, start to be replace by modern games which is lead by technology up date.I appreciate that you both are very care to advice kid knowing and learnin traditional games, because I believe traditional games teach kids to socialize and real having fun together with their friend.when technology separate people in close distance, traditional games keep them close and affection having some memories about traditional games make me feel like "oh, I were kid too", this feeling can not replace... I'm not sure kid that only play games on computer or cell phone have special memorize about their childhood like that... do you agree with me?

I don't know . I mean ,it is hard to say whether it is good or not for kids to surf online instead of traditional games. If we take step back further ,we would find that our games are much too fashional compared to our ancients who didn't have any spare time at all .Because they had to hunt day and night to survive . Thus ,as time passes , it can't to too normal to change something ,even the way kids entertain themselves. Of course ,it is not healthy to be indoormen .And i advocate more outdoor activities too . Yet, isn't inappropriate to play computer games or check one's facebook ? I am not sure about that .

hi, captinjack that's true, technology games are much more flexible compare traditional games.while traditional games play outside that consider about night, day, safety and weather, technology games make you feel comfort and safe.but in other hand, traditional games have many benefit that people can't find on technology one, such as healthy, learn kids to be more communicative, responsible and hospital.when in front of computer, people are often bsy with their self and forget to socialize, so the kids should have enough age to know more about technology and spend time with it... do you have a kid yet, dear? how age kid should be start playing with gadget and computer?
