Reckless driving

Hello Nezavisima thanks for commenting on the subject.I am paul from India.I agree with your view of point.Reckless driving involves a willful or wanton disregard for the safety of others.It is a misdemeanor crime.This means that constitutional rules apply to prosecutions of reckless driving.So such crime creators are punishable by law.Certainly we may own costly cars but we have no right to injure or kill somebody's life by our carelessness.

No matter how much we complain about reckless drivers, none of us are innocent of driving recklessly in our lifetime. What matters is, whether we learn from our mistakes. When I was young and stupid, my attention to the road wasn't as it should have been. There were some near misses on my part. I'm just fortunate that there were no accidents or injuries. There was one defining moment that scared me witless and brought everything into prospective. I don't remember where I was or what street I was driving down, but I was heading merrily down the road fiddling with the buttons on the radio. I had the green light and was crossing the intersection when two cars, each coming from the opposite direction, both went barreling through the red light at the same time, heading right towards me. An angel must have been on my shoulder that day, because just as both cars passed each other, I had just made it the other side by mere seconds, the blurr of metel wizzing past my back bumper. And they never even stopped. I wouldn't be here today, and neither would they, if that angel hadn't nudge my car forward out of harms way just in the knick of time. So everyone who reads this, put yourself in my place in that exact moment with those two cars heading right for you, feeling trapped. Would you want to be the cause or the victim on that or anyday? Think about that the next time you put that cell phone to your ear while driving or reach over to grab something, taking your eyes off the road. Both those drivers were distracted for some reason and we all nealy lost our lives in the process. I just hope they learned something that day and they're still alive and kicking. I know it changed me forever. Everyone drive safely. And don't doubt it, there are angels out there. One saved my life that day.

Hi jeltroy thanks for your response.It is true that drivers need to be more cautious behind the wheel.It was in the 2008 8.30 morning,we were waiting for the bus to attend a wedding party.All of a sudden a speeding car came straight and hit an elderly woman.It happened infront of my eyes which i cannot forget till this day.The marriage ceremony turned into a nightmare.Luckily she survived but till this day she had to be in her wheel(chair)Both her knees were broken.It was all because of a reckless driver who could not care to see the innocent pedestrians.
