About video adaptor

If video hardware is often integrated in the motherboard then why video card is needed. in our personal computer. Can anybody make me clear about function of video adaptor

Video adapters on the motherboard are low quality, low memory, low resolution devices. Video cards are much better because they have a more powerful, faster Graphics Processor Unit (computer), much more memory (onboard rather than shared) and heatsink / fan combinations to cope with the heat generated.

Thank you for your response. Can you help me with one more question. When we add a video adapter in a expansion slot is monitor connected to that new card or to inboard video hardware port of 15 pin.

There will be a setting in your BIOS that will decide which starts up first.

If you add a video adapter card in a expansion slot then you have to connect your monitor data port to adapter card's port and bios setting is require to enable it for function.
