Hi fredz, Some years back in nokia mobiles there was an option to recharge yore battery in case of emergency. It could charge up to 50% if correct code is dialed. That was preety handy in case of emergency. Now my question is that currently how many brands of mobile got this feature. Plz give name and code too This will be very informative for all.

Actually, that was proven to be a myth... http://www.switched.com/2008/03/07/cell-phone-myths-explained-6/. There are other things that has to do with cell phones that are completely false. I wouldn't rely on any of them to do what people claim it does.

For u and all those guys here who think emergency battery recharge by dialing a number is a myth or wrong idea, they should try Nokia phones.

Yeah, I've tried it about 2 dozen times with 9 different Nokia model phones & they all don't work. Phones ranged from 3 month old to 5 years old.

I don't think one can recharge a battery when we enter a code. How it can be possible. Battery needs electricity not the code to charge it. I think it may be telling that there might be the reserved charge. it can be used only when we enter the code. But I don't it is available such service..

Hi rohit, I haven't come across such convenient way of charging our cell phone when our device battery that runs out power needs to be charged for emergency use. A friend of mine has purchased a brand new cell phone which its battery can be charged connecting to a laptop. There is a usb cable included. It's quite convenient huh as long as our laptop is along with us Happy posting
