I'm supposed to move to New Zealand in a few months and I am wondering what its like there. How friendly are the locals? What are the cities like? Are the trails for hiking as good as the guides say they are? And most importantly, what's the food like?

I visited lovely New Zealand when I was 29 years old. It is one of the most beautiful countries that I have been to in my lifetime. The people there are friendly. The walking trails are excellent and my favorite I did was the Abel Tasman Walkway. I eat a vegan diet and the food I found quite good. Auckland is the biggest city. I liked Wellington more and found Christchurch charming. I loved it in Nelson. Northland is lovely and quite near to Auckland for weekends away.

My husband's cousins have all moved to New Zealand and they say that it the best thing they have ever done, so much so that there mother has also joined them over there. I think really it is what you make of it and how much effort you put into it to make it work. Hope my views help you
