I am a bit confuse about how to select what is a good new discussion, which will not be deleted by mylot after i make a comment there.. Recently, i posted two comments on two new discussions, and both are deleted by mylot, so i earn nothing from my comment. I just do not understand why those discussion, which one is about hair removal (i forget the other one) is deleted by mylot. Can anyone here, member of mylot, help me and give me enlightment about this? I hope in the future i could choose a better discussion to earn more money :) Thank you very much and have a nice day friends..! :)

It’s probably because, if I can remember correctly, your hair removal post was a poll question.. for example you asked people which was their preferred choice if hair removal? This was like a survey, or poll.. and people could give various answers.. how you should have ended it was “how do you feel about hair removal?” .. or something like that, which then makes it an open discussion!

actually, i did not post such discussion, i just made a comment under that posted topic :) and yes, the new discussion which i put my comment on is sounds like that, the one who posted it ask a question about which method we prefer in hair removal, is it by shaving, waxing, or laser treatment :D i understand now why such discussion is deleted by mylot.. thank you very much chicksdigscars! :)

Hi cgirl! I am not very familiar with ALL the rules of myLot. I haven't read ALL the rules and regulations yet. I do what chicksdigscars said. I read discussions regarding the FAQ's and I find them a lot more helpful than self-studying them. And one thing I always do, I don't start discussions I'm unsure of or comment on discussions that are not in my league. If I feel that they seem to be breaking some of the rules, I steer clear from them as I know they will eventually be deleted along with my comments. The suggestions that "veteran" members of myLot posted are feasible and we both should follow them. Good luck!

hahaha..for someone who have not read the FAQ you certainly have a nice record, enigma13 :D just look at your star! :) i already read all the FAQ and others regulations first time i joined mylot. i guess i just not understand it well enough, that is why i still made some mistakes in choosing which discussion i should put my comment into.. :D But, i learn from my mistakes, and next time i will choose the discussion in a smarter way :D thank you and good luck too! :)

Well in reality you never really can always tell what discussions are removed here, and what ones stay. Sometimes it could because of the quality of the type of discussion that is posted here, and sometimes because it might be too much like another discussion etc. All I can say is you never can be sure unless it is totally against the TOS why something is deleted here.

I have that happen sometimes. I know it is frustrating! I feel the same when that happens. I usually make sure that the discussion that I comment on is in the right place. If the discussion in not in the right subject matter it is subject to removal. Or if there are parts that are inappropriate in the discussion. I have had a few in the last month but now I am very selective about which discussions I chose to participate in. One good tip is to respond to top discussions or have your interests sent to your email and those that are in your interest and are top discussions are way less likely to be deleted. And respond to your friends that have a high number of posts. I hope this has helped you! Happy mytlotting!!

MyLot has Guidelines: http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx If you read them and make yourself familiar with them then you will understand which discussions to avoid. Any discussion, response or comment that violates the Guidelines will sooner or later be removed. The most obvious violations are poll-type topics (what is your favourite?, whichis best? etc.) and discussions promoting other sites/articles/blogs etc. If youleave a response on those topics you can be sure that it will earn our nothing at all. Welcome to myLot!

Those are usually the easiest ones to respond too but also have less to discuss - and are the first to go too

@anitha - I don't think placing topics in the wrong category would call for a deletion. There are other reasons which you will find in the guidelines.

even my discussions are deleted and i don't know what might be the mistake I have done. But after reading this post I got the clarification that i placed my discussions in the wrong category.

I avoid discussions that can be answered with a yes or no response. I made that mistake in the beginning and had some responses deleted. Also poll questions are not allowed.

i think you must read carefully about FAQ and the rule of mylot.. one things that i always remember is never put your business url or link...mylot really hates it..
