Just to ask our friends here in mylot, especially the ladies... in public.. have you ever felt being stared at? have you encountered someone who looked at you in the most "absurd" way you felt as though they are checking you out. have you ever felt this way and how did you react to this? thank you!!

Hi chiyosan! I have experienced this. I was always creeped out especially if I saw that the guy looking at me is someone old or someone with a face that you cannot trust. I would give a suspicious look and then I will look away or walk away. But it's different if that person looking at me is cute or some nice-looking guy. I look away shyly usually. Somehow I can't have the guts to smile. ^^ I remember the time when my first boyfriend used to stare at me when I wasn't looking. I will always feel it and I'm just gonna blush all of a sudden and even my ears would turn red, or so my friends would say. ^^

This is a pretty awkward situation. I get this all the time, and until now, it irritates me. Whenever I feel someone is staring at me in public, I immediately grab my mirror, and check - for possible things that may be on my face like dirt or whatever. Check my hair and such. But, I've figured out one thing that's effective for these people to stop - stare at them in return. You'll see, if you keep doing it, they'll stop checking out on you

happened to me is to some looked at me and it irritates me terribly much. so impudent people have a very cheeky looks who may even scare you. I do not like those looks and I always reciprocation to see that it is not pleasant. Have a nice day!

Oooops! I am a guy but I did had this feeling at times. I really don't know if it was just me being conscious about myself or what. There was a time when my classmates will play a prank on me. A group of them will stare at me the whole time making me quite conscious of myself being stared at. They really pissed me off. I really hate it when I get stared at during work. I can't finish and do my job right whenever I know someone is observing and staring at me while working. But I do get the stares whenever I am on some social gathering and acquaintances. I try to gaze at some girls and see if they will stare back at me. So maybe I am part of those guys you are referring to who checks out girls by staring at them!

Yea I do. But I think it's just all in the mind LOL. Cause when I look at the direction where I strongly feel that someone is staring at me, that someone is either sleeping or is staring at someone beside me hahahaha. I'm not the type of person who's gonna be stared at so yea I think it's just all in my mind.. But I have a strong feeling that someone is staring at me when I'm alone especially when I'm at home.. I feel like ghosts are everywhere and it feels kinda creepy.. .

ahahahaha:D well, regarding the first line "especially the ladies", I want to mention that these days GUYS are at the receiving end of these weird, irritating stares!! NO..am not talking about the guys staring at guys..it's in fact the girls staring at guys...I've joined a college for my post graduation and I'm so irritated by the way the girls here stare at guys.! Gosh! I can't explain...it's terrible

Yeah, I've experienced being stared at before. It wasn't comfortable at all. I felt like I had to watch my every move and all. It was when I spilled someone's beverage on his clothes and everyone was staring at me.

I am sometimes paranoid that even if no one is staring at me I think some eyes are looking at me anyway. If there is really someone staring at me I simply look at the person so he/she will look away. If he/she doesn't look away then there is really a problem, usually if you look at the person they will look away already. I sometimes also just bow my head or look at the opposite direction, the person will eventually get tired of staring at you.

I think it would be awkward for the ladies if you are looking at them this way. I know I'd feel weird if someone was staring at me like that. Some would get a slap in the face or a good beating from the boyfriend if they'd continue doing it, I think its just rude to look at somebody that way.

I didn't face such situation. If I face such situation I will smile at him and say to myself what wrong had I made. I think they stare at you because may be you are good looking or they didn't like the dress code or similar to that. Whatever may be the cause you just don't change your originality.
