How long can I reply?

How long can I reply to discussions for me to have some earnings? I tried to read some FAQs and discussion guidelines however I still have some question in mind. I hope my fellow My Lotters will be able to help me on this. I'm not really sure about this discussion but I just need your help on this. Please bear with me about this. Scenario 1: I posted a discussion 30 hours ago, the response is also 30 hours ago, will I still get earnings if I reply to that response? Scenario 2: I posted a discussion 2 days ago, the response is also 2 days ago, will I still get earnings if I reply to that response? Scenario 3: I posted a discussion about a 2 weeks ago, the response is just an hour ago, will I still get earnings if I reply to that response?

There is no time limit. You could even revive a discussion that is several years old! It doesn't have to be your discussion.

You earn for what you type. So, yes. You will earn for responding to your discussions, or other member's discussions whether it's from today, or a month ago.

Let us say I created a discussion about a year ago and I just replied to it today. I will still get earnings on that no matter how old MY discussion is?... I actually read something before that you need to reply to your OWN discussion within 24- 48 hours only. Now I'm confused. But I guess you are right.

binggaling is correct! I believe you just misunderstood something. Perhaps the 24-48hr. thing you are speaking of is when the earnings update?

even the discussion is a year ago as long as you posted a very good post then you earn from it. some people are busy so they can not log in at mylot everyday so if they responded in a discussion which it was 5 days ago or a month his response will still earn as long as you post something that can be equivalent into earning. again too short post are not counted.

I know that if I replied to a discussion that was created about 2 years ago, I will still get earnings on that. But what I'm just referring to would be a discussion that I STARTED. A discussion that I started a year ago, let us say I will only reply today on those comments, will I still earn for that? I actually tried to reply to MY old discussions for 3 days and I haven't received any earnings. I don't know, probably I just overlooked it.

As far as I know, the time of the response doesn't affect your earnings. As long as your discussions get responses, you'll earn from them no matter how old it gets. Although I'm not sure of it because myLot's algorithm is still a mystery. You should ask GoAskAlice about this.

"As long as your discussions get responses, you'll earn from them no matter how old it gets" We earn NOTHING when our discussions receive responses. Those who post them earn for them not us, If we want to earn then we have to comment on them because we ONLY earn for our own activity.

I think my lot pays for every participation you do. I did it too. I replied to a one week old discussion. I think it was paid. I'm not sure. I don't monitor how many post I do so I don't which one was paid and which was not. Besides, the earnings fluctuate each time. If you notice, on my earnings tab, the earnings is not totally arranged by date. The recent date I saw today is August 14. Maybe because, the staff review every post first before paying it.

Thanks for starting this discussion, I learned a lot from the replies. I too was wondering about this, I usually answer old discussions by searching them if none of the new discussions interest me. Sometimes, they are a year old or 3 years old even, I still get paid the next day when I check my account so I guess they pay for everything even if it is an old post.

omg, why dont you just ignore the money part and sit back and enjoy? you will have payout then before you realise it. theres no where on the internet you are going to make a LOT of money quickly. so just be patient.

Why don't you just try to do scenario 1 today and wait until tomorrow see if was paid ... then next day scenario 2 an so on .. To directly answer to the question, I think you will be paid for any good contribution to discussions made by posting quality answers and comments ... I would be thrilled to hear that if I start answering to discussions are under the "no response" tab - not get paid? Hmm .. I doubt, I think is logical to be paid. My 2 cents.

I think everything that you contribute in here will merit you earnings. I do respond to topics which are already ages ago and I feel that I am earning from those replies. Also, I have discussions wherein other myLotters will just reply 2 or 3 weeks or even a month later. As the other users here say, you type, you earn. In my opinion, you will earn from all that scenarios that you have presented. You can respond back to your discussions any time you want provided they are still available. The only drawback of replying for so long is that the other users who replied might already forget about the discussion and will fail to reply back. As you can see, there are a lot of discussions spawning here in myLot and those old discussions will surely get masked out by the newer ones. But reviving an old discussion is possible. I have seen some discussion which were revived by some users. So I think that you won't have any problems earning with your replies as they are not time bounded.

I think you'll get earned in all scenaries. Actually I think you get paid if you post a comment and doesn't matter when you do it. Main thing is that the discussion is still open. I hope I am not wrong.

I'm still quite newbie here in myLot. I read FAQs and discussions on how to earn here. I also search for anything that comes out of my mind and then post to a discussion that caught my interest. I even post my response in a discussion that was created more than 3 years ago. I would suggest that we post a response with at least 6 lines and of course the quality of the response so that we can share our knowledge and experience to other mylotters.
