Stress really a threatened to us. How? simple, it's not recognizable but working slowly destroying us. For me, stress can be eliminated but simply accepting what's happening to us and finding solution to its problem. It's a matter of acceptance and self confidence.

When I am feeling stressed, I will try to distract myself by thinking abt sth that makes me laugh. Or I will try to take a break from whatever I am doing that's giving me stress.

huilichan8 (188) Supoer idea. Laughing has proven to be not just a stress releiever but an actual healer of illnesses. I tape "America's Funniest Videos' and watch them when I need a pick up. It is an immediate tension reducer.

We can cope the stressful events in life by adjusting what is happening in our life this days and accepting the realities of life.As much as possible we should avoid the stressful events in our life. Stress really destroys us slowly with our health and body.

Hi, kearkear Welcome to myLot!! Yes, stress kan kill us or make us sick, so sometimes we can only accept what happens. If we can do something to make it better, we should do it. One wise man man advised us: 1. What is the worst that can happen? 2. Prepare to accept it if you have to. 3. Start to think how to make the best of the worst. Have a great day!!

Hi Buenavida...thanks for welcoming me.. Yeah, I do agree of what you have said. Stress really can kills. Thanks for the thoughts you have shared. Sometimes in our lives we realized the situation after it happened. And the best thing you have to do as you have said is to prepare and make the best out of it and make the best of the worst. Stress is a problem many people have in this world, it's mostly caused by the speedy life most of us live nowadays. We live to have a successful career and in the meantime like to enjoy a wonderful privaye life. Claiming our bodies to give 150% instead of a 100%. Just cut down on your to-do-list will help a lot!

Yup! I understand... Sad to say with my current work and current situation with my parents right now, I need to work more than a hundred percent.. Though sometimes my body reacts, I just need it to double. I love my parents so much that's why i double my work efforts. But with God's grace I'm still managing properly my time and thanks to God I'm not that stressful.

Good day, kearkear. Stress is quite normal in our life and I think everyone has got some. If there isn't too much of it, we don't have to worry about it. But when there is overmuch stress, the resulting problem would be quite serious. I totally agree with you that one way to eliminate stress is to accept it and find the best solution. Sometimes we just don't want to face stress. But that would make things even worse. Stress would accumulate and at last burst out, which could bring serious side effects. So just don't wait for the stress to accumulate and always talk to your friends, family members or someone else. You can always find ways to solve the problem. What really matters is not how huge the stress is. It's how we deal it that counts. ^_^

kearkear (10 I think you are right.. Figuring out solutions is key and reminding ourselves we can handle things is the way through the stresses. It's also important to watch our ‘self talk’. Coping with stress is one of the most useful and rewarding skills one can acquire in life. We will all always have some form of stress, so we might as well learn to deal with it. I like to 'dance around' or some form of exercise to relive immediate nagging stress. I also do deep breathing. Welcome to the board..this is a fun palce to be!!
