What will you do when making a mistake?
Most of us would answer regret and silently hope that God forgives.
Did you know that actually this way directly affects the mood to be more "peaceful"?
It is proved scientifically by researchers from Canada. They found that people who remember God, their anxiety after making mistakes is reduced. When their brains were scanned, it was observed that different brain responses when they think about God.
Through two experiments, the researchers found that when people think about religion and God, their brains react differently and this causes anxiety-stricken man who had become calmer.
When one thinks about God and religion, either consciously or unconsciously, brain activity in the area of ??the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) will decline. ACC is part of the brain associated with things are numbers, organize awareness and passion and reminds us when we make mistakes.
Interestingly, the people who are atheists or do not believe in God, when they unknowingly touched on the idea of ??God, the brain is part of the ACC was more active. The researchers suspect this is because the mind of God in conflict with something that they believe that it actually increases stress.
"Thinking about things religious, will make us more calm when we are faced with a stressful things like making mistakes," said Michael Inzlicht, of the University of Toronto who conducted this research.
