My son is now 11 months. So far I manage it so that I rinse the bottles and pacifiers daily after each use with detergent and hot water and then boiling. Is it now with 11 months still necessary or is it sufficient if I do every second Boil days? And I still need to boil the tap water he must drink it now or so? My midwife said when my son was still a baby, that baby was better water out of the pack, because of the low sodium content. Do I still always take it or can I give him normal tap water that is boiled?

When my son was 1 year old, I have everything just washed in the dishwasher. Believe the temperature should reach to kill bacteria and germs. I've never used a special water, but boiled tap water until about 18 months.

I recently employed the same question and I have informed me over the Internet and read that you should accustom the baby slowly to the "germs" .. So from the 7 / 8 every other month just sterilize bottles ... so to speak once or twice just rinsed, then again a sterilized and then the whole up to a year ... terms of the tap water ... I would never give it to my daughter without having it previously boiled .. because I think the little body needs to get used but still in all the environmental waste. I must say, but honestly, I've also never heard that someone has given his small child directly from the tap water. Then I would inform me in advance even to the pediatrician whether the water is charged and may harm ....

From the crawling stage you need to sterilize bottles no longer, because the baby puts everything in his mouth anyway, what toy was lying on the floor, etc. And once the child is given solid food, it brings nothing more. Spoons and plates are usually not sterilized, too. From there is also sufficient for rinsing the bottles in the dishwasher.

Hallo! So basically they say that it, from 1 Birthday is no longer necessary to pipe water from boiling. The Imunsysthem and digestion of the kids are already mature enough to be able then to deal with it. BUT: I suspect you have a funny feeling in your stomach when you are thinking at this hearing. Maybe your instinct tells you that your small still takes a while. The with the sodium content must not be true, because it largely depends on where you live. Generally, the water well in Germany and I have our first with the Birthday stopped to buy the baby water. All the best

i had my son's feeding bottle boiled until he was two years old. Now that he is five, he still feed on bottle so he can sleep easily. I still boil it once in a while. The water I used when he was a baby is a mineral water. I do not boil it anymore since the doctor said that if a mineral water is boiled, the boiling will make the minerals break into pieces which becomes harmful.
