Has anyone used Dropshippers?

I was thinking of starting my own work on eBay. So I wanted some drop shippers. However, I do not know how they work. Do we have to purchase the goods from them in bulk first? Or do we buy after we sell a product on eBay? A good reply on how the system works would be really appreciated.

Basically, you dont need to purchase any goods/supply from the dropshippers. You buy the goods you need, then provide a shipping address where they can send the goods you purchased. This has been going on in eBay for years. You profit by setting a price higher than the price of the dropship products.
The good news:
1. You dont need to buy supply/materials.
2. You dont need a big capital.
The bad news:
1. You cannot trust many dropshipping companies.
2. Many products offered by dropshipping companies already saturated eBay. Just search for a particular item offered by a dropshipper. Almost always a dozen or more sellers are already offering it.
3. Shipping may take longer than usual. Again because of number 1 above. Most eBay buyers dont want delays.
4. You may be asked to pay monthly membership fee.
