Hurricane Irene hit the US coast. It did do damage but thankfully has weakened now. So i happened to read about hurricanes and observed that almost all that have occurred have female names like Irene, Katrina, Linda, etc. Why do you think they have female names?

I think they are like woman. We do not know when they will come to us like woman and they destroy our life as woman. As all woman are not same,so all hurricanes are not same.Sometime it weakened as you told.

I think they might have male storms, though I'm not sure. I wonder why we even name them at all, but I guess it's easier for the public to keep track of them. I think the names are kind of homely though, I think we should give them more common names, such as Shaniqua and Lafondria.

We need to keep that a secret..we let guys think they are in control because they need the ego stroking, but really the woman is in control..if she is clever.

I was wondering the same thing. I think they should have a combination of names of both men and women. What do you think? Should it be all men? All women names or both?
