Anyone else love the way Rise Against make you think about controversial issues?

I've only recently discovered Rise Against and their amazing songs. One of my favourites has to be Make it Stop: September's children. The first time I heard it and heard the names of all the people that committed suicide for being gay, a shiver went down my spine. Several of my friends are homosexuals, and I would be devastated if any of them were bullied so much because of who they are that they'd chose to end their lives. Anyone else love the way Rise Against use their music as a way of making people stop and think about issues they'd rather avoid? Hero of War is another song -and music video - that really makes you pause and consider just what they're saying. It's unusual to get that in most bands.
