Something I think I'm dehydrated because I only drink 2-3 glasses of water a days and then I pee a lot. Sometimes I feel like I just pee every water I drink. I wonder if there's still enough water in my body. But I know I eat healthy food. I went to a site that calculates how much water we need. According to my weight I need to drink 1.5 liters a days but if I eat healthy foods I'm okay with 1.2 liters. But 2-3 glasses, I think it's only 700-900ml. But I research about dehydration. If the person don't pee within 24hrs, s/he is dehydrated. I always pee so it means I am not dehydrated but I'm still confused because I only drink 2-3glasses of water a day. If you want to know how much water you need. Here's the link. http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htm

You still need to drink 8 glasses of water per day and have to stick with it. It help to not be constipated. As long as you have your fluid intake under control I would not worry if I pee often or not, kidneys has to clean themselves.

Well, I have heard of people being dehydrated from not drinking enough water especially if there are other ailments and problems along with that. You can also get dehydrated if you have been sick, or from taking other medications that can cause this, etc. I know the hardest thing is making sure that you are getting the right amount of fluids for each situation you are going thru. But if this is something of concern, your best option if you can afford it, is to go see your Doctor and have some Blood work ran up to make sure everything is OK. Explain to them your situation, and they can let you know if everything is OK, etc from there.

Hmm. It is rather odd that you drink only 2-3 glasses a day and yet pee a lot. Do you know how long this has been going on? If you've always had this since young then there should be less cause to worry since it's probably normal for you. But otherwise maybe you should get a doctor's advice?

So according to this site you need 1.5 l water a day. Stuff like soups, coffees, teas should be included in this number. If you pinch the skin on your arm and the pinched skin remain in the same position it means that you are dehydrated. If the pinched skin smoothly return to normal position it means that you are fine.

Aside from no urination within 24 hours, there is an obvious dryness in the skin and mouth. For some they even experience weakness. Dehydration in adults cannot be determined by just looking at the person. She or he may say it. Thirst is also one symptom of dehydration and poor skin turgor. If you press the skin and goes goes back to its original state right away there might be dehydration. Thank you for the link . Very helpful.

A person that's dehydrated presents with sunken eyeballs and may appear pale. Dry skin can be caused by dehydration. Chapped lips are often signs of low fluid content in the body.

Most doctors will tell you to drink 8 glasses of water a day. Your body is mostly water you know. If you are going to the bathroom that much on just 2-3 glasses of water, then maybe you should have your glucose levels checked. You might be diabetic. You are not drinking enough water....

You can try to check your hydration levels through the color of your urine. If it is close to colorless like that of water, then it means you are properly hydrated. Then, the more yellowish it becomes, the more dehydrated you are. Often the off yellowish ones are normal, but the bright and striking yellow urine is quite bad and replenishment of water is needed. Try to check the internet regarding the range of colors for hydration checking using the color of urine.
