i do not think that the happiest person in the world is the richest man in the world. he can have a lot money, but money won't buy you happiness.

But money can buy things that can make one happy. But seriously, the equation richest man = happiest man is not true in the context of the true essence of happiness. Happiness is not all about money. The kind of happiness derived from wealth is something that is shallow and something that easily vanishes, while happiness that comes from within one's self is the one that lasts.

I don't think that just being rich means that the person will be the happiest man in the world. Indeed, I am happy, and I am nowhere near the richest person in the world. I actually find that having a lot of money proves to be very stressful as people will ask to borrow things from you and then won't be your friend anymore if you refuse. You also have to come to terms with the fact that many people will want to be friends with you because you have money and not because they like you as a person. However, you would soon learn how to work out who was being genuine and who didn't really want to be friends with you at all.

I dont think so. Every man whether rich or poor have their own problems. A rich man struggles to maintain his property and try to find ways to increase his properties. Similarly poor try to earn more to get minimum facilities in every day life. The journey goes on. Riches don't give happiness but they give pleasures whereas Destitution leads to struggle.

as notorious b.i.g. so eloquently put it, mo money = mo problems the more money you have the more scared you are of losing it. if you have nothing, you are truly free and unbound by physical objects. they don't even go with you to the afterlife!! like wtf!

You sound like Jesus where he says something about a rich person not being able to get to happen because they can't let go off their earthly wealth and that's required if you want to get there. Something like that anyway.

I do not think that we should equate financial status to happiness as this will be unfair to many people who are struggling to meet their financial needs. I think that money can contribute to happiness but this would not be considered as the sole reason to be happy. Also, this will depend on the person's preference like for example he is happy because his family is complete inspite of the challenges that he is facing. Or a person is happy since he was able to share a blessing to a person who needs it.

Definately NOOO, It depends on the work you are involved in. Understand this, money helps only to gain human needs eg. Food, Clothing, a House, A Girlfriend. But it cannot buy Peace of Mind, sound sleep. Don't work for money & let money work for you. So, alwaya do what you like & stay crazy, stay foolish, always think different, don't follow but lead; belive me you will be the richese & happiest person living on the planet. Now, it depens on you you can take it or just give it away. Best of Luck...:)

Definitely not. I just read an article about Steve Jobs, one the richest man out there with a net worth of more than 8 billion. He just resigned from Apple and he looks incredibly ill in his picture. He was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2004. What I'm saying is money does not equal happiness. I will not be a hypocrite and say that money means nothings because I would love to be rich my self and I know that that will bring me happiness but money is really not the cure for everything, it might help but it won't cure everything. In Steve Jobs case, he can have all the money in world but his health is failing him and his money can't buy him good health. I guess we just have to be happy and content with what we have and I know that is easier said than done .

Happiness you can find and experience within your own self. Happiness is an emotional feeling in your on being. There are material things ,that can make you happy, as there are activities and people who can bring happiness into your life.

One's condition has a lot do with happiness, however it is not the only factor that is involved in if a person is happy or not. One's attitude towards life and his or her circumstances is another major part. Wealth opens up possibilities. Someone who is poor may only be able to go to the local zoo for "vacation." Someone who is middle class might be able to to go Las Vegas or Disneyland. Someone who is filthy rich however can go anywhere in the world for significant amounts of time. Again, wealth opens up vast possibilities. However wealth is not a non-stop joyride. Wealth comes with responsibility. The greater the wealth the greater the responsibility. If one wants to stay rich and get richer, one will have to pay careful attention to one's finances. Scrutiny in all matters is a must. You have to be careful of what you invest in. You have to careful of who your trust and hire to help you manage your fortune. You have to be on constant guard from those who would steal or take advantage of you. You have to make sure you are aware of where every cent is going lest your find yourself bankrupt or poor in one night due to a stock market plunge. There is also the fact that you have to deal with the public. Someone who is rich (this of course includes the richest man in the world) is going to get public attention whether they like or not. There is a strong possibility that the media will hound a rich man like it hounds famous celebrities. This forces a very rich person to maintain their reputation and public identity. They can't just live they have to be aware of how they live, lest the media get hold of it and their mistakes become fodder for the hungry masses. Is that richest man in the world the happiest man in the world? That depends on how he is handling the huge responsibilities and thus stress that comes in his life. It also depends on his attitude towards it all. If he is on top of his game and positive in attitude, and if there are no personal circumstances causing sorrow, then maybe he is the happiest person in the world.

Absolutely not. The rich person can occupy any priceless materials in the world, but the no happiness and love. According to my opinion when increases tension also increases proportionally. We cant say that a man by looking his house, cars, luxury things that he is happy man. He need bodyguard to protect him while going any where. He must have to use sleeping pills to sleep comfortably. He is busy and his activities are according to Personal Assistant notebook. So can you think he is happiest person, some times may be.

I believe that healthy is more important than wealth. You can enjoy a happier life with healthy body than those wealthy people with poor health.A healthy body is the foundation for a successful career. Second, the spiritualn is the most important.

this fact is not at all true on day today basis the person who is more rich will be having some many problems and he will be always thinking how to maintain the money without loss and he will not give that much importance to family members and he will not the happiest person

Obviously this is not true. You do want to be somewhere in the middle where you have plenty of money to support you so that you don't have to worry about it and can have fun with it. If you are too rich like billions or hundreds of millions of dollars (USD), then you are too rich and are always bombarded with people who want your oney and telling you where to donate it and such. Makes a hectic life which takes away your happiness. On the other hand if you are really poor then you can't support yourself and are always worrying about what might happen if you can't get some money. There is a balance.
