I was considering to buy a fake iphone.. It was 5 times cheaper than the original iphone.. and it has a one year warranty.. I don't have any problems with buying an un-original (if there's a word like it) iphone but I was thinking of how many years would it last.. Maybe two or three years.. So what are your insights of buying fake gadgets?

Hmmm.. China phone? :) Just kidding.. I had a fake iPhone 3 months ago but it just lasted a month or two.. Its really like the real iPhone but the quality isn't good. I hope yours would last a little longer than mine.

Doesn't it have a warranty or something?

It has warranty, but warranty didn't help! :/ So, better get the original one, but if can't afford just try the other phone like Samsung, Nokia but the original one. They are worth of your money!

Hi glaiz! When you said fake, you mean imitation? I don't like buying imitations because they are known to be short-lived and you will not get your money's worth with it. As much as possible and if resources permit, I choose to buy the original because of the longer shelf-life. It's better to buy quality goods because you can really feel and enjoy your money's worth. Although, I do understand how tempting it is to buy cheap products. Life nowadays is not simple, everything is expensive and continuously getting expensive. People tend to be attracted more to cheaper goods. I'm sometimes like that, too.

Too expensive gadget is really impractical, at least for me. I don't buy stuffs like that because I have more better stuffs to spend on. Stuffs that I really need.

Yeah that's what I mean by fake. :D I never bought an imitation before and this would be the first if ever. Besides, I'm feeling guilty if I buy a really expensive gadget, I feel like it's not worth my money. :D

Hi You can go for that fake phone.. But surely it would be not like the original one. The difference is too much. May be you will get many features but about quality it will be not same as the original.. But yes they are far cheaper than the original one. And yes their look is also very similar with the original one.

I do not like the fake phones because they lack in many security features. Earlier the chinese phones do not have the IME codes and also they do not comply with the fcc guidelines and are not safe enough to use. If one cannot afford iphone (like me), I will suggest to buy a standard phone with less capabilities but essentially a safe one. You can look for good android phones in the market instead of a fake iphone.

Ok then. Though I'm only planning to use it for entertainment. I have a separate phone for things such as work, :D

I have bought and used fake (china) phones before. I used a fake iphone last year. Yes, it was similar to the real one and at that time I even thought it was better since it can used two sim cards at the same time. The only complain I had about that was the touch screen was not very sensitive and you had to really press down for it to be processed. it gets kinda tiring after a while. But my previous fake Nokia phone was amazing, and it lasted three years before it got run over by a car.

I think that ever purchase is an investment and buying a fake iphone maybe a risk for the worth of your money. My uncle bought a fake iphone for $100. it is working perfectly for three months then he started complaining that it keeps restarting by itself. I think it takes luck for that. Sometimes the gadget works perfect.and sometimes they just won't. it is still your decision but if i were you, i will just wait for iphone5 in fall.

I guess I will put that advice in mind. Or maybe I won't buy an iphone at all and instead buy an ipod. Besides I don't really need another phone.. maybe an ipod would be enough.. I'm actually still deciding on buying one or not.
