Bill And Ted 3

So earlier this year Keanu Reeves announced (on my birthday no less) that the second sequel to Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure is in the works. I've always been a huge Bill and Ted fan ever since I was a little kid. I love both movies and I remember watching the cartoon based on the movies (though I don't remember much about it). Hearing the news about them finally actually doing a third movie after all these years both excites me and scares me at the same time. I like the idea for the above but I'm nervous because I'm afraid it'll be Terminator 3 all over again for me. I remember hearing they were actually doing it and how excited I was--and then I was generally disappointed by it, and it being my least favorite of the Terminator movies. But I'm definitely interested in seeing how the movie will turn out one way or the other. I haven't seen a movie in theaters in years but for this movie I'd be willing to break that streak. Are there any other B&T fans in the "Watching Movies" section here? How do you feel about a third movie coming out?

Keanu was born to play that role and I think he played it every movie since Bill and Ted lol

lol. I do have to admit that I've never seen Keanu Reeves as any character BUT Ted lol.

First movie I seen him in was Bill and Ted. Even in the Matrix I was expecting him to break out and say Excellent! lol

Hollywood´s ideas machine is getting far too tired, bringing back a sequel after +15 years is a serious sign of lack of creativity, doný get me wrong, I love the Bill and Ted flicks but it´s been too long. Remember what hapened with "Basic Instinct"?

I guess it's better than the initial "remake" idea they had (I heard at one point they were going to do an "Excellent Adventure" remake). Personally, between the two options, I'd prefer a sequel to a remake (but then I'm not a big fan of remakes, generally speaking). I never saw it, but I think I do remember. It bombed, if I'm remembering correctly.

When I heard about a possible third it interested me partly because it's been so long since Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and I wondered how they could come up with a storyline. The rumour I heard at the time was that they were looking to create a story which saw Bill & Ted's children having grown up becoming the time travellers and Bill & Ted having to help them out. Since then I've heard nothing more about it but if it ever did get made I would be keen to see it as I remember skipping school to go and watch Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey all those years ago.

What I keep hearing it's going to be about is something about how they didn't fulfill their destinies and have to figure out where they went wrong. This of course would completely negate the ending to the second movie if this is serious. Either way, I've also wondered what kind of plot they could come up with after Bogus Journey and all these years.

Wow, I didn't know they were doing a third one. It's a huge gap between the second one and this one though. I agree with you about it being both exciting and scary - it could be a great film, or it could be really awful. Will the fact they're both somewhat older not cause a few issues though?

Indeed, it could very easily go either way being great or really awful! True or not, I've always heard that both Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter have long said that if they ever actually did do a part three, they'd actually like to wait until they're in their forties or fifties. But yeah, it is a huge gap. But then again, Terminator 2 came out in 1991 and Terminator 3 came out in 2003 so I guess why not lol. I guess we'll see how it all goes down!
