You are driving in the middle in of the rain (not so heavy) When all of a sudden your tire was punctured (again, ugh!) Fine, it did not blast. You managed to park along the road side to changed tire. With confident you opened your compartment to bring out the spare tire, only to have the best shock of your life... Spare tire is missing ! Goodness! Did this ever happened to you? And what did you do? It happens to me this evening and I want to freak out. How come my spare tire is missing when 3 days ago I just bought a new tire. Okay fine...I let/ask someone to buy me a new spare tire because my old spare tire is not good anymore. Dumb me, I did/never checked if the tire was there inside the compartment. Because I trusted that person..he is my ex-hus nephew and my son's cousin and buddy. Sometimes too much trust is not good, even if the person is your relative. Good day everyone jaiho® 9/04/2011 11:49pm (Sunday)

Hi Jai! It is really shocking to hear that you landed in trouble and you did not have a spare Tyre. It happened with me also. Once while I was living my office late in the evening, I found that my scooter was punctured and when I tried to replace it with the spare tyre, I found that it was also flat. I was aghast and with the help of a colleague I had to drag my scooter to nearby petrol pump and reached my home two hours late. Since then, I keep checking my spare tyre and ensure that it is in fit condition.

Hi Sister Jai, hope i am not too late to respond in your discussion. Pity to hear your situation, sis. So far, i haven't came across this kind of situation. Indeed, it is very sad if this kind of situation happened especially during raining day. It is really uncomfortable and can rise a person's high blood pressure... I only happened once where the tire was punctured and i wanted to change it. When i opened the compartment, only to realized that the spare tire is Flat tire and have to wait for my hubby comes to rescue.

Yup, we should always check every is fine and available in our car, before leaving home. I think your ex-hus nephew must be in great pain if he punch him at that time. I am sure you are punching him with great force during your bad mood time. Lucky he is not with you... Never mind, let that be over now...Stay happy always, sis...

Hi jaiho! That has never happened to me! It must have been a frustrating experience! I hope it will never happen to me because I wouldn't know what to do. I drive a scooter and so, I don't carry around a spare tire. I can imagine what will I do if this happen to me. I might start to cry. But I will call my mother to tell my nephew to help me, or I will call my brother to ask him what to do. But it was probably your mistake, too for not checking if your ex-husband's nephew did get you a new spare tire. Though it was really annoying that he did not do what you had asked him to do.

I can understand your feelings dear sister, if I was in your place, I would have gone straight to that person's home... then only my anger may down.... I am happy that you showed the patience (I know angry won't solve the problem here) because they are your relatives... I hope this will calm down you

dear sis Well, I am very much confident that I have 2 spare tire in my compartment. But what made me really upset and mad is,...even my old spare tire is missing and that's really odd. I don't care if the new tire is not yet there..my concern is, why my old tire is also missing. Actually I haven't talked with the person...and not even responding to my text messages. I don't want this issue to become big between me and his parents, his mother is my sister-in law...(ugh..people) I wish I can still control my temper...I am about to be short with patience now. have a good day sis sis, jaiho®

No it never happened with me sis but when i was going to nainital(its a hillstation where i was going with my friends as a vacation ) so on the the way there is place called haldwani through which we were going, the road looked quite smooth but we missed to see the iron bar on the road and our tire burst right then. We had spare tire but both guys didn't knew how to change tire and it was festival day so all mechanics shops were closed. we asked many people but they didn't help and at last a mechanic house was nearby the village people told us, one of guy went with the villager and got the guy and then we finally got it repaired. It was so hot and standing for 2 hours in that sun was quite bad experience.

Don't you just hate when things like this happens? It can be no Fun for sure. We had a bad experience driving just about 2 weeks ago ourselves that turned out OK even though we were not sure at the time. We had someone hit our New 2011 Prius. They hit us in back while traffic was almost at a stand still luckily but put puncture marks in the back fender which we just got fixed. So sometimes it does seem like with vehicles things never go as planned but make you more thankful for the Good days for sure.

such evil dog i mean - oh, i mean relatives
Hello Jaiho-sis, I sense a thief there and it' s relative. probably the best never to let him set off the ground in your house, Is he NUTS? doesn't he have any idea how expensive TIRE Is?!. I think there is nothing wrong to trust some one specially with a relative. but believe me, You're better off not trusting them. My god this reminds me of the kitchen utensils that my relatives took before she went back to the province.

hello LK, I trusted him, thu I have some doubts- because I want him to feel that I am still the same (you know...my ex-hus is his uncle) But..I was totally wrong, not only I lost my money(4K) for the new tire...my old tire is missing either. Now I truly understand why most people trusted their friends more than their relatives. And...I know I am right when I trusted someone who is not my relative too have a good day sis, jaiho®

Sweetie, next time, please do it yourself, okay. Is that guy a freaking idiot? Can he think for himself? I think sometimes people tend to let being soiteful get to their flat heads. I'll come and damn slap him silly. Warn him in advance.

Indeed, it was raining. It never happened to me, but I experimented a deflated spare tire, which was not better. During a few months, I worked in a place with a so bad road, that I was having a flat tire twice a month ; my mechanics gave me two used tires and rims, so I had three spare tires at this time.

Sorry to hear the bad news of you. Yes, too much trust is damaging, people take you for granted and exploit.. This reminds me something more.. It is necessary to have a spare if the in-use thing ditches.. ha ha ha ha..
