why waste your potential

It really upsets me when I see people who are very talented and gifted, who are wasting their potential. It's like you know this person will be successful if they will try. You know this person has it all but they were throwing in the way. I really don't know why so many people who have the skills and abilities to get far just destroy their life. I'm sure in all industries it happens. How many great athletes we had seen fall because of vices like drugs and alcohol. Be on How many talented actors and actresses should be on TV or movies but they don't get projects anymore because of its attitude problems. How many talented singer songwriters who died of drugs. Why so many great painters are very suicidal. I know a certain person whom I know is going to go far, I believe it is person's potential but now this person become a unprofessional. I understand this person is going from problems but this friend of mine is currently destroying his life. It doesn't really have a problem but he just felt like destroying his life.

hello capt, I am pissed off when my daughter acts like this. She has all the talent when it comes to music, the voice and she plays various musical instrument. I can be tagged as stage mother for dragging her to join orchestra and other music oriented groups. I want her to know her passion, I want her to know what she really wants so that she will never blame me or herself in the future. But sometimes her lack of confidence is getting to much that I want to knock her head have a good day jaiho®

At least she is not wasting her life like the person is currently making me mad for wasting all his potential in life. Also at work I had seen people who will go far but they were not trying.

Unfortunately, the world doesn't work on an ideal pathway. If we live in an ideal world, we should be what we could be. But what makes life interesting can also make it hard. Also, people are always different, always changing and complex. Situations always pops in the most unlikely of times and forces people to do the alternative path and not their dreams or as you said, potential. But as people, we try to cope and make the best thing out of our choices. As much as we like to control other people, we are really helpless when it comes to their lives. It's is their life and they have the right to live the way they wanted. We, as friends, can only support and help from a considerable amount of space. Hope is another thing we hold into and perhaps faith that things will always be for the better and not for worse.

For sure no one can only person but himself. They were blessed to have the skill to be proud of, something that can make them climb the ladder in the successful but sadly they rather sink to the bottom.

I knew some hugely talanted musicians when I was growing up. They were both headed for professional careers. Yet, nobody has ever heard of either of them. I wish I knew what happened to them and what they are doing now. It is very difficult to transition from amatuer to professional. But, if even they can't make it, what chance does anyone else have.

Though musicians and artists have the most risk of being reckless about their lives. I had seen other people for not in the arts and entertainment industry who are talented in their own field but still ended up destroying their life. There was this businessman who have a very successful business and a happy family but everything is destroyed when he got addicted to casino. Now he is homeless and his wife and kids left Him

Yes, is a total waste of space and talent, but you will never know what is really going on with that person unless you put yourself in someone's shoes. Having money and talent doesn't equal happiness. I can be a great graphic designer and heck I can draw better than most people in my class but you know what I will never get too far because I am shy and most of the time I give up too soon. I wasted two years of my life getting drunk and skipping school..why did I do it? I was an idiot but this person will never change unless he/she wants to.

Sometimes it's hard to control our actions. Do you consider pursuing it again or do you still want to fight your real passion. I know there are many people who are talented on a certain area but their passion is about something else, an area where they don't have a talent.
