i dont fathom one thing that why would anyone liked to be referred by N word ....it is amazing to see because this is not any term for endearment ...N word sounds too offensive but most of the african people think its very dope to refer eachother with this word .May be because of the influence of HIP HOP and rap culture on the society whats your take on this?????

I don't think that Hip hop makes them use that word. They use it in the hood and the rap music is only the expression of that life which they have there. The funny is that if a white person uses that word is considered racism, but when black people call a white person "white boy" is okay. I think that neither of those words should be considered offensive as it reflects a reality, and it is not necessary a negative one. For me it is the same if you call me blue eyes, because it is also true.

i dont find either of the terms very endearing and encouraging although it depicts the life in the ghetto but dude they cant be calling eacother with this name if they find usage of this word by any other race offensive but amazingly some peurto ricons use it and they dont find it offensive then like fat joe uses the word in his songs and big pun when he was alive used to use the same word

I don't find it offensive neither, as it doesn't necessary have negative connotations. It shows only a reality and reality should be accepted. If you call me a white boy, I don't feel offended, as I am white. And this racism affair is too overreacted, if you ask me. The people are suddenly too sensitive at words.

I guess they do that because they're also black. If someone else that's not of the same race called them that then that's when it becomes offending for them.

Okay dude. Well, you should tell that to them, not me. I don't do this.
