According to experts, since the discovered the writing, there are few books that really affect people's lives. Ranging from holy books to books about love. Which is then able to change someone's life or way of thinking. Of the manu types of books, one of the most influental books to me, than the Holy Books of course. The book is : The Broken Wings, by Kahlil Gibran. Its contens are so profound, deeply religous, humanist, as well as complicated, but easily to understood and so enjoyable when we read. Kahlil Gibran is Lebanese-Born writer, who died in New York in 1931. How about you? Is there a book that is very influental on your life?

Hi fitriadi, It is difficult for me to say if any one or two books have influenced me since there are many many wonderful books written by great authors which make an impact on us! I am not religious at all, however Mahabharata which is one of the greatest Hindu scriptures ever written has had a profound influence on me .It is nothing but an epic story of two Royal Kings and the feud for kingdom which is so close to life full of human emotions and also the impact it has on their own lives and all those around them...

Yes thats true.In mahabharata there is reference to good governance, our duties as social beings towards our family and society and also various other factors that come into play in an individuals life .It also has Bhagavad geeta which is what Lord Krishna discoursed to Prince Arjuna, who was hesitating to fight the great war.It is nothing but wisdom and inner vision which tells us that no matter what we have to do our duty without thinking about gains, profit and end results....

I know the Mahabharatha, that in addition to the book that can guide us to the values of truth, also about life and good governance and justice, so however it is a good book, and it is so possible to change the way of life someone who reads it!

No, there are no books which have influence on me. I don't like to read literature, because I feel those books boring and only one person's point of view, his fantasy and way of thinking. I like to be very independent and there are rarely people who can influence my way of living of thinking. So there is definitely no book that can influence my life.

Yes, I never thought you are referring to other type of books also. Maybe philosophy or other type of books can influence us, and they enlarge our horizon. You are right, these are books which can influence my life also. And you were right, the Bible does influence my life, and I hope that in a positive way.

i love reading books, especially love story novels. but there is one book that really influence me with the way of thinking about love and martyrdom, it is Gone with the Wind by Margarett Mitchell. the book evolved around the life of Scarlett o ' hara. how she manage to stand up and get on he feet when everything seems to fall down during the civil war. it shows her strong personality about lie and how she did everything to get all that she wanted. i admired her determination, and the way she look at things. For some, she is an antagonists, but for me she is the modern woman that live long ago. i really love the book, read it __th times, and it never fail to make me cry every time i read it.

"Power of Positive Thinking" by Vincent Peale was certainly a book that changed my life phenomenally. I now feel life is a one big happy song, problems not withstanding. I came across this book when I was just married when adjustments need to be made every step of the way.

I read lots of books especially about pop psychology, and evolutionary psychology apart from my professional reading of computer related. But about inspirational books that really give a meaning to our existence and make our life worth a living, i sincerely suggest out lotter's community to read the book "The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari" by American borne Indian Robin Sharma. Beautifully written with life lessons of inspiration and motivation to bring a great change in our life.

The Holy Bible, as I am a christian, is the number one book that has influenced my life for the good. Good Morning Glory written by Benny Hinn, evangelist, is a favorite of mine. He talks about the Holy Spirit and how when you speak through Him, you will feel your time with God rather than just hearing your words, etc.

I cannot say that any book influenced me. I have read many books and liked many books, but none of them were so profound that it changed my life. I always thought in my own way, I guess my wiring is different then others. But I can see how books can influence someone.

Aside from Holy bible, the purpose driven life by rick warren is a summary of practical life's situations which enhanced from the quotes of the Bible. Another book is the Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.

Some books are influencing. But know, reading habit to man decreases, which in turn increases anxiety . Stories are also influencing in the childhood. Reading good stories makes a man good. But it is only when a person is small.

I love reading and I can say that there are many books that affected my way of life. When I was in high school I remember reading Chicken Soup for the SOul Books and they helped me deal with the teen life situation. Purpose driven lie book also influenced me a lot, on discovering why I am here for. I also read the Secret and the Power and they did not only influenced me but helped be have the things I always wanted in my life. Right now, we are on a diet and we are influenced by the DUkan Diet Book.

I think a book that has influenced me a lot is 1984, and also A New Brave World, by Orwell and Huxley respectively. They have made me radically change the way I regard everything. I think that's the kind of books everyone should ever have a look on.

For me it would have to be; Robert Greene 48 law of power. I mean I never read a book, an see the principles in my real life. Im 24 yrs old now, I read it for the first time, when I was 18. Something's that, I did not understand, I learned in time. I feel like it would be a great gift for, children about to finish high school. Teaching you, you how to play, the chess game of LIFE. I find myself picking the book up at lease once a month. GREAT BOOK.

Yes! I do find Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad, really made some big changes of my thinking about life. They really affected the way I think and my personality and perspective of the world in general. They are very influential indeed, that's why they are bestsellers. I suggest too that you try to read them. I am sure that it will surely strike upon your thinking. They are a nice read and in my opinion, a must read for people.

Reading is my best activity. I can learn a lot, be whom I want to be, and "Grow" with each book spiritually and personality wise. My current challenge is finding the time to read (as I used to have before getting married and having two kids), but I am working on it. Let me start with "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. A must read for those who want to know what they can attain and what goals they can achieve. At the date of this post, the following two books had the Greatest impact on my life: 1. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey; {This book was the reason I have a Masters Degree}. 2. Rich Dad Poor Dad; the Cash-flow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki; {This one re-programmed my Financial Thinking}. Keep Reading, Learning, and "GroWin".
