Hi, I am just wondering if anyone out there has given up on a blog and started a new on or even tried a new angle and revamped a blog that is on a go slow.It does seem a shame to give up on something when you have put a lot of time into it.Its just that I have come to a point where I don't know if it is worth the time to keep adding posts if it is not going to come to anything.Perhaps it is time to try something different. My blog is htt://goeswithwhite.blogspot.com/ Would love any suggestions that may help get this blog off the ground.Or should I shut it down and try a new angle.

Hi pauapoint, Maybe, if the blog is monetized like what others do with their blog, it will probably motivate you to go on with your blog. You put a lot of effort there already by adding many posts. Give your blog a second chance. Maybe, you need to add gadgets to it, give it more life. Or, link your blog to other social networking sites to increase your traffic. I read from others, that the quality of content you put in your blog is important to increase readership. Hope this helps.

Hi Prosperity, Thanks for responding. It is hard to give up totally when you have enjoyed working on something as this has also been a big learning curve for me and I am learning more everyday.I was wondering about putting a competition on it to spark an interest and return visitors I am looking into that angle.I am also wondering about putting more of my own photos on so it looks more interactive.

Hi, I have just realized that I have mentioned adding a competiton to my blog and I we are not meant to talk about them on mylot I think so best that we don't discuss them on here.Sorry to everyone for mentioning it I had a discussion banned because I mentioned on already so same thing may happen to this.

I gave up on my blog a long time back as I was putting all that effort in and I wasn't getting any readers or comments or anything so I just thought it was a waste of time and I could spend my time in more productive ways. That's just me though. Perhaps you are a lot stronger as a person and have more fight in you to persevere. You could try writing something different or trying a different angle as you say. Whatever you decide to do though I wish you well. Andrew

Thanks AndrewFreyne,I hope what ever else you took up instead was productive.I have decided to stick it out alittle longer and keep trying different angles to it.There are still some was of getting traffic I havent tried yet but first I need to work on making the blog more fun and more appealing to people.I have a good imagination so I am sure I will come up with something unique which is what I want from this blog. Thanks for commenting.

ITs all about fun, if you are not having fun anymore, give it up. Without fun you cant update everyday. And lets face it, the blogs making a lot of money are also the ones that put a lot of money and affort, so if you are ready to do that then you can continue without passion, looking at your blog like a bussiness, but to the rest of us mortals blog was supposed to meant fun first or as I said, you cant continue.

Thanks katieO,I have had fun doing this I guess it is just you start to wonder if idea behind this blog is a little silly and thats why it is slow going However I feel alittle recharged and I thinking to change my angle alittle to find something people like and join in with.I will keep at it for now.
