All TV Shows and News should have SUBTITLES.

have you ever thought about this? Not that I want to complain for some reason. but ever since the coming of cable television i have been watching these news, documentaries, movies and drama series on another country with their own corresponding language.
I dont' know but i feel sad when ever i watch other nationalities i just couldn't understand their language. I do recall some instance where other cable news like CNN and Jack TV has it's own subtitles but that on constant.
I wish network companies or any one out there would create a program in their television that would translate every thing into english what ever language is being spoken in the television. knowing that english itself is not so hard to understand, probably hard to speak but not hard to understand the letters and sentences.

You can download dome movies from the net with sub-titles.
I downloaded few Hindi movies from the net- all you have to do is checked if there is a sub-title.
I am now downloading "My name is Khan"

I think TVs have a feature cold close caption but it's dependent on the station. This feature is pretty the same as having a sub title but the viewer has the option to put in On or OFF. An example of a station with sub title is CNN where the sub title show as the hosts talk, if you find the caption annoying then just push some buttons in the remote control to turn it off. Normally captions are in English.

I know what you mean sometimes I switch to a channel where they speak Spanish and the show looks so good but I have no clue what they are saying.
If there were subtitles then it would be easier to feel like we can become more national with what's going on. Sometimes I wonder what is going in in other countries but I have to guess what they are saying.

dear LK,
I am not a tv addict and I only watched movies that of my interest.
So, if I want to watch any movie of other country- all I do is download from the net, particularly from "torrent".
I've been watching Hindi movies..and I can tell you how good are those movies...

Hi Letran Knight: I agree with your statement, specially for people who have a disability, for example the ones who can't hear well, they need to read subtitles. So not offering subtitles is somehow a kind of discrimination. However you can take it as a challenge to learn new language. Learning new languages is a fantastic experience. I speak Spanish but I've also learnt how to speak English and French and now I'm learning Italian and Swedish.
