Hey fellow MYLOTTERS.. Does anyone know where I can get a FREE credit check online?.. I have researched many sources and alot of them seem to be 'FREE' but then incur some sort of charge.. I have done one before and cant remember for the life of me what the source was.. Any ideas?.. Thanks Guys.. (",)

you wont be able to see your credit score, but annualcreditreport.com is the official site to get your credit report. You can get one from each of the 3 companies. It is recommended that you space them out - get one every 4 months. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

Are you from the US? A credit score is based on your history of paying bills on time. The credit check just tells you what is contributing to your score - whether they are good things or bad things. I think it is something unique to the US.

Not that this is any of my business. But I don't think you should get a credit card. You will start charging because you are having financial difficulties and then you will just add to your bills. Please consider this advice. I don't want you to be in a bigger bind. Best Wishes!

yes go to CreditKarma.com you will not pay anything and you can view monthly and see how your credit score is climbing. I have used it for over 2 years, and I have my son using it as well. Have never paid one cent for anything. HOwever if you change your email etc, you do have to follow directions to get back online. I closed out a email and forgot to change it and now I have to send them a couple of things to be able to see my account so they don't think someone illegal is trying to see my credit score so they are very reputable! Hope it works for you Good Luck

Thank you so much for giving me best response. I sincerely hope you were able to find this site useful for you. I monitor my credit score as I was in a bad marriage. I got two credit cards in my own name to rebuild my credit. It took 7 years to get out from under his bad credit history. I kept those two credit cards even though I remarried. Even my husband now has told me that I did not need them and I told him I sweat blood and tears to get responsible and be able to have my own credit rating. When my son turned 18 I put him on one of my credit cards. It has helped his credit soar as we do NOT misuse them. I let him get a tank of gas once a month and use it for a movie once a month and we pay it off at the end of the month. It keeps us active and good credit rating for using it but not abusing them by maxing them out. Good Luck to you.
