Mylot ads

I wasn't able to get on the internet for a while after my computer crashed. I have recently returned to mylot and have noticed some changes. There are a lot more pop up ads on the site than I remember there being. Do we get paid for viewing these ads while surfing the website? Has anyone else notices the changes or am I just way behind the times?
