Imported movies are much cheaper the shopping for them can be confusing if your from the US simply because of the currency type and descriptions such as bot I get a little confused when it comes to how much a bot is, lol so I lose interest and pass, but I have to say I'd like to buy imported occasionally but I don't want to brake any laws also most imported blu rays and DVD don't play in the USA unless you have a region free player or blu ray devices so I'm a bit discouraged about buying them So is it legal to buy imported blu-ray disk and DVDs? I'm talking about paying for the DVD, and only viewing it privately in home not selling it and making money off it just to be clear.

As long as the DVDs are original (not the pirated ones), I assume it's legal. I don't live in the US, but you may check with your authority like US Customs for this matter. For your information, DVD from certain country can only be played on that country. So if you buy DVDs from overseas, chances are it cannot watch them.

Oh ok thanks for taking the time to respond I really wanted to know the answer to this one it seems that members shy away from questions of this nature but there's nothing wrong with wanting to understand the laws better thanks again And by the way there are multi region blu-ray and DVD players on the market here in the US that can play any DVD or blu-ray movie, but they cost a bit more then regular players.
