I Made It!

Hello there friends! Well, since I promised everyone to get updates from me getting this NBI Clearance, here's the news.. I MADE IT! It took me 5 hours though before the document was in my hand. I get up at 3:30 in the morning to line up by 4:00am and there I saw 75 people lining up already. The surrounding was still dark and I brought a book with me to read to keep myself from being impatient. Haha! At around 8:30am, the guards were already giving us number and to my luck, of course I was included in the first 100 applicants. We were guided to the center to where our papers will be processed. Long hours of waiting. I was there lined up to the cashier, encoding, thumb printing, and releasing area. Thank God that at 9:30am, my NBI Clearance was finally in my hands. Well, there fellow MyLotters! I managed to be patient for 5 long hours sitting, standing, reading and streching. I'm just really hoping that the system will become better soon!

My congratulation that you survived this nightmare. The system should be much better. Queuing at night. That sound nightmarish. But you made it girl. I wish you all the best!

congratulations. well you truly proved it for yourself that patience is a virtue. i hope the new nbi system will really get better soon. with the lining up of applicants, this also happens with some SSS field offices that you have to get there early so you can be entertained early.

Thanks! I think it's a national phenomenon. SSS also takes time. But I was lucky enough to be entertained quickly at Pasay Branch maybe because there wasn't too many people. What I can't understand is why SS ID needs a month or two before release. I really need it!! Huhu.

What is this NBI waiting all about. Some sort of government documentation that you need to get for your immigration status or something else? I personally have been through such long waiting, and long standing before, not much fun at all. Especially when comes to bureaucratic process, it will take extra hours to process your documentation.

I dont know my friend. But what I know is, they signed a new contract with regards to the biometric system (im not so sure) and that's why they're starting on scratch. No more renewal of clearance. Every applicant is considered a new applicant.

Good for you! From what branch did you applied your NBI clearance? Wow! You really woke up very early to get that. I previously applied in an NBI kiosk in Ever Commonwealth and went straight there at around 7 am and was still able to finish at the brink of the lunch break. Good that you don't have any hit! I got a hit on mine so my NBI clearance was delayed for about 20 days more. Poor me back then. Yes, I hope that the system will improve especially now that they are doing a re consolidation of the information and I think they are trying to link it for online convenience.

Hello ronadelle Congratulations.Of course it is very tedious to wait in a queue and when you don't have to do anything. You did very right that you brought a book with you but it might be that you are not in the condition there to read that. Better solution that i always use are music or bring a friend with you that will surely pass your time.Alone standing in a queue always seems more time wastage while with friends its quite of passing time and enjoying. So next time go with some friends and enjoy.

Hi, I wished so too but the problem is, it's too early and friends won't just get up early to accompany me hehe and besides companies are not allowed inside the NBI center coz of limited seats. ;) but thanks for the tip!

Hi ronadelle! This reminds me of the time I renewed my passport in Lucena, Quezon. I went there at 3:00AM and to my dismay, the line was already long. But I was at number 40 something so I was thankful to be included in the first 100 (because they also process only the first 100 applicants). I finished even before the mall opened (DFA's regional office was inside a mall in Lucena). Anyway, congratulations!

Actually it didn't took you 5 hours to wait. It takes you 5 hours since the time you woke up. However, the process only takes you one hour since the guard started to give you numbers by 8:30am and you got your NBI clearance by 9:30am. I can see that NBI is really fast with their service...kudos! have a good day jaiho®

Yes that's true but if I didn't wake up at 4am, I will never make it to the first batch then I'd have to wait more hours before they process my clearance.

I take it that you're a Pinay? It's really frustrating to be doing one thing that takes millions of years to finish! Oh well, I am happy for you though that you get to have your clearance. And I am with you in saying that hopefully over the coming of years, our system will improve-for efficiency's sake.
