Natural ways to deal with daily pain

Hi! I'm not sure if I have asked this question on mylot before or not, as I have asked many people just to get their thoughts and ideas. Here is the situation - I broke both my wrists, my thumb, and my elbow in several places last December. The elbow did not heal correctly and I have been dealing with daily pain. It is not severe but still always there is pain. Advil does not really help much. The Dr. prescribed Meloxcam but that did not help that much either and it is the type of med that you take only once a day. I don't like that kind because it lasts for maybe 10 hours and then after that you have to wait to be able to take it again so there you are suffering in pain, counting the hours until you can take it again. I had a couple of Vicodin left and if I take a half of one with Advil that seems to help. But I don't have any Vicodin left and I know the Dr. won't prescribe that being it is a narcotic, so what I am wondering is if there are other prescription and/or natural supplements that I can take that will help me with my pain. I will be having more surgery on my elbow and that should help with the pain long term but for now waiting until I can have surgery is making me crazy. Any thoughts and ideas people? I appreciate the help.

I think you should concentrate on a diet high in calcium to help with the healing of your bones. Besides calcium from natural foods, a well-balanced diet would also help. Meanwhile, a blend of lettuce, celery, watercress and a touch of garlic would help minimize your pain (and you do not have to worry about addiction). Sorry about your accident. Hope you recover soon.

Hi! Thanks for your response. I have started taking garlic pills as well as having it in my diet. I eat alot of lettuce and celery. I will try to get more calcium in my diet too. Thanks again.
