How does WUBI affect performance?

Hello! I intend to install WUBI on a Vista, and I want to run Kubuntu. If you have installed WUBI as well, do you know any performance issues, either on the host computer and the guest OS as well? Also, I would like to know how it compares to a native install. Yes, I checked on the internet, and of course performance is going to be worse off, but is it that bad? Thank you!
