Being a grandma. When to turn a blind eye to childs mothering skills

I have 2 lovely grandchildren. One has a very young mum and I find myself constantly telling her what to do. She gets very annoyed and tells me to butt out that she knows what shes doing. Im very carefull how I approach anything I say so as not to insult her. A lot of things I dont mention as they arent important but there are some dangers I cant ignore. How do I get around this so as not to insult her and have a big row but still get the advice through.
