Better go slowly than to stop

There's this great Confucious quote that says that we have to keep doing what we do, but not to stop, that it's better to keep moving even if it's really, really slow. That was a great quote for me right now. I think it means that even if we give a tiny step each day we will make our dreams come true because we continued to move.

That is what my aerobics instructor keep on telling our class. "Don't stop, just jog in place if your really tired but don't stop" lol. But I do agree, in life it is better to take little steps than to stop all together because if you add up these little steps then it will amount to a giant leap if you compare it from the moment you wanted to stop.

Great tip cause I'm also working out! The other areas in life... better go slowly but to never stop. I see people like Socratez, Plato, Walt Disney, Agatha Christie, Jrr Tolkien and so many I admire and that they never stopped, they were there doing a little step at a time and in the end the whole world knew them.

Hi katie: I agree with this statement. I would say that is better to be sure about what we do and do things slowly rather than feeling very excited about doing something for a while but then leave it. Things take their time. ALVARO

That is good advice. I had not heard that one before, but I guess it goes along the same lines as "slow and steady wins the race".

Slow and steady movement is pretty much essential for most things in life I would think. We can keep moving and sustain all of our momentum in a way where it is not going to really burn us out. Burnout can be one of the harshest things in life and we can really keep moving slowly to avoid it. But we don't need to stop and hit that wall. There comes a time where we need to make a choice and we need to really keep moving throughout all aspects in life. Steady movement might take a bit more time but movement is movement. And movement leads to progress to say the very least. So yes indeed it is better to go slowly, making small progress, before we are going to really get to the final destination. At least we're moving.
