I sitting here looking out the window watching my new neighbor

As I speak, I am watching my new neighbor let her dogs, (2 poodles) use the neighbors yard as a dog park. I actually had to step out on my porch so she would not let her dogs use MY yard as a dog bathroom. I think this is very rude behavior. I happen to from time to time walk in my yard without shoes. I guess I had better stop that practice! I feel that I should go to their house and tell them to at least carry a bag to pick up dog remains, but I feel that it might cause trouble. If they are so inconsiderate to let their dog do that, they may not care. What do you think, mylotters?

I am a dog owner but I perfectly understand your anger. I would be angry myself if I were you. It is your property, she shouldn't let her dogs poop there without your permission. Or, if there was an 'accident', she should have cleaned it. I suggest you to tell her nicely that you want your lawn to be clean as you like to walk without shoes in your yard. Ask her either to keep her dogs away from your property or to clean after them. Wait and see the results. If she's a reasonable person, she will do what you asked her to. But if not, you can then threaten her. Tell her you put some rat poison in your lawn (of course, against rats ) and her dogs may be poisoned. You'll see how she will keep her dogs away from your yard! I sincerely hope she's a reasonable person and you won't need any threat.

Such inconsiderate neighbor. I really hate neighbors who don't care about the people around them. They think they own the world and just don't care about the others. I believe you shouldn't go there and tell them what to do. That kind of people are usually rude and like what you've said they are inconsiderate. YOu would be wasting your time going there and you'll probably be insulted. In my neighborhood, we have an authority to take care of such things so we do report such incident.

In my country all yards are fenced by law. It´s part of the laws to build a house. I don´t know how you can do it and if there is a law that will make your neighbors stop doing that if good words as not enough.

That's really inconsiderate of your neighbor. Why they can't let their dog do it in their backyard and not to other's backyard. I guess you can tell them in a polite manner..if they don't listen or ignore you, then, they're really sick-minded people. have a good day

As a dog owner , I know and understand that dogs do what they do where they are not allowed to do it. If I see a leftover at my garden , I just pick it up and drop to the trash can, it happens rarely because of the fence that I have and the gate is always closed. I suggest you better put a fence so people understand where your garden starts and where it ends. Some may think the edge of your garden is a part of the outside , the border of your garden is uncertain without a fence. It will be enaugh if you just stretch a wire or a string around your garden to mark it's limits. Maybe you can put a sign that says not to step on the grass or dirty it.

well that is too inconsiderate tech. you can always confront these neighbors you have the right to complain because it is your property that has been damage. i think there would be no problem with that if you would approach them in a calm manner. if they would be mad by the confrontation then might as well clear to them your right as the owner of that property then you can create a fence or any barrier for your yard so no one would just come and go to your place.

If you want to be psychotic rent a horse and let it use their yard.. they'll smell how it annoys you then lol Honestly, people who are that inconsiderate will usually ignore any attempt at reasonable requests. Short of fencing your yard off i really don't know what you could do.

You should tell your neighbour to have those remains picked up. She should be responsible for that. Besides, you don't want to clean those yourself all the time and just to have her dogs do it on your yard while she turns a blind eye. In the past, I caught one or two persons doing that. They lived around my neighbourhood and when their dogs pooped onto my yard, they'd walk away. So, I went out and told them that they left something behind....and they got embarrassed and had to take those remains along with them.
