What happens when a wedding guest lodges an objection to the marriage?

Did not have as yet read about a case. But it is in demand both at the civil ceremony as well as the church wedding, if anyone would like to make of those present reasons, that this marriage should not take place. (eg, the partners were blood relatives, or one of them was already married.) May well be that serious reasons to abort on the wedding.

Huhu! Was not it earlier so that people could not be married twice? The "second" husband or wife then had the opportunity to raise objections, to prove another marriage, and thus to prevent the new marriage! Kind regards

Above all, we must distinguish between the religious marriage ceremony, the private nature of marriage and by a state agency that actually changes the marital status. For a state marriage there are legal hurdles. To marry, one must first e.g. - I am not a lawyer - of age, unmarried and capable of action and its partners must not be used too close. Are there any doubt the authority of these states, they may conclude a marriage. Admits the father of the bride so only at the registry office, that the groom is his child, the marriage is probably blown.
